Announcing.....

Something that has ME very excited! I am now a designer for http://www.kitcardshop.com/ Dear Kelly is the proprietor of this delightful store and this is her motto and something we should all take to heart and follow a little more("Lets keep in touch"...how many times have we said that common phrase with every intention to follow through? Then somehow, our busy lives squeeze good intentions to the side and we never quite make that call, send that greeting card, start that scrapbook, or give that little gift...Don't let this happen to you! )
Her store is full of vintage heaven...assortments of whimsical embellishments and top of the line scrapbooking goodies. There are some of the sweetest kits to make one of a kind and unique cards, tags, layouts. Anything you fancy. She really has an eye for creating wonderful kits full of color and just the right amount of shabby sweetness. I had an absolute ball creating with the things she sent me. I made everything here you see with one of the kits and I still have a lot left. I will be sharing my creations I make with her goodies every month here with you! She also shares her wonderful home with us on her blog. Her house is gorgeous...full of eye candy and color...and the yummiest vignettes. All I can say is you can't ask for a better combo??? Decorating AND the best collections of kits to get your inspiration flowing! Please go give Kelly a visit! Great way to keep the winter blahs at bay. Well that is it for me today!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. We had a warm and Merry one ourselves. Nothing better than spending time with your family. I am off to start slowly putting Christmas back in its box. I will be sure to keep a bit of it in my heart as well. Hugs to you all! Happppppppy New Year..looking forward to 2010 and what it will bring. XOXO, Cherry

Birthdays...just aren't what they use to be

Today is my birthday..where's the party hat and kazoo? GOOD TIMES! Suppose to go today to finish shopping and go have a nice dinner...BUT my son is yet again not feeling well poor fellow! Moving on to less sensitive topics..thought I would share more of the Christmas touches in these parts. Can I just say in all honestly Christmas REALLLY snuck up on me this year. I did not get nearly everything done I wanted to. To top that off...our beautiful tree that we got....has to come out...it just dried up like the dickens. The man that sold it to us gave us a new one yesterday..which means taking everything off and putting the new tree in..and starting from scratch. Did I mention GOOD TIMES??? rofl. Ohhh well. ON a happier note, I got the sweetest package from a blog buddy...her and I did a swap. She just spoiled me....the silhouettes you see she did...she has a beautiful etsy store that you should go peek at http://www.etsy.com/shop/tripletmom2 and a gorgeous blog here http://tarnishedandtattered.blogspot.com/ ! She also made the sweet vintage Christmas card banner! I love everything Lisa...THANK-YOU BUNCHES! Sooo I will leave all of ya with some fun pics of Christmas decor! The big Standing Santa you see...my dear son bought for me several years back. He spent his own birthday money and my dh took him shopping. He had seen me dazzled over by this St Nick...and he surprised me with it. That is a very special memory for me. Well anyway... I have had fun visiting all you ....gorgeous festooning everywhere I look. I hope everyone is well and in the Christmas spirit...I bought a Bing Crosby cd last night...can't wait to break it out. I had to also share a pic of Calivni on the couch...one of his new fave places to lounge. Merry CHRISTmas to all you! XOXO, cherry

A little project to share

I thought I would drop in and say howdy! Hope everyone is having a jolly festive season! It was snowing here earlier like the dickens..but has now turned to a nice sludgy rain....GOOD TIMES! I am very thankful that cold.....zub zero weather went away though....35 degrees now seems down right balmy. Today I am sharing a album I did for someone.....I got the biggest kick out of doing this! Had sooo much fun. I thought I would share a few pages from it..it is a Christmas album done with bingo cards. The first pic is the cover of the album. Other than that..I have a snippet of things to come for Valentines day...gets me all lovey dovey just thinking about it.....Ha!!! When the weather or I should say the light gets better I will snap the rest of my Christmas pics. Off to do housely duties all! XOXO, Cherry

It is 3:00...and the high is 10! PIC HEAVY

It is not fit for man or beast in our parts today. They cancelled school as well. Apparently the weather has gotten us confused with the NORTH POLE! It was negative 24 degrees this morning...and that is NO JOKE. I wish I could say I did not have to leave the house today..but I did...we were out of milk and other staples. Since Santa is my neighbor now....I thought I had better snap some pics of the holly jollyiness around here. I really went simple this year....I was just not up to any over the top decorating. The older I get the more I think about putting it all back in totes..and what a job it is. SIGH. Me being someone who LOVES Christmas...and already thinking about the future work involved. Did I just say that out loud??? Well anyways...on with the pics....I had to use my little point and shoot Canon so the pics are not the best...soooo bear with me! I have penny pinched and saved and so we made a pilgrimage 4 hours away to our "LOCAL" Ikea...and I bought the Ektorp Svanby beige sectional and a chair. I hope to make one more trip and get another chair to flank our fireplace. I have been happy so far with them...although the beige is def. MORE white looking to me. It will def. be getting washed a lot in this family (TWO black animals, two men folk, ). I got in on the FREE white slipcovers as well...which I am almost scared to use. I have heard so many (mostly in mags) say oh we just throw them in the washing machine and we are good to go...little bleach.....lets hope that is the case. I sure do LOVE the look though.. ...YUMMMMY. My birthday is coming up as well so I fanagled a new glass sofa console out of my dh. Looks nice behind the sectional I think. Well I hope to take part two pics soon.....the lighting is so terrible in this home. Is there a better/faster way to download pics and enlarge them other than in edit html? I might actually post more if I could take less time downloading all of this.
Other than that if you have time please take a peek at my etsy store...I have several items left that I would be thrilled to find a new home for! Convoy me for custom orders. THanks so much folks.....pray for warmer weather here....it really is bitterly cold. Hugs to u all. xoxo, cherry
