Is it Spring?

I hope some of you are experiencing some warmth and color....hopefully Spring has sprung somewhere out there....NOT here. It is snowing quite heavily at the moment. Sorry it has been awhile since posting....we had Spring break and with it kids coming and going. Now it is over....but feels more like Christmas break looking out the window. We also have adopted a new kitten from the Humane Society. He was a stray and only weighs 4 lbs....we are trying to fatten him up a bit and give him oodles of love. I have fallen head over heels for him. I named him Bailey....and of course call him Baby bailey. He is a lap/neck cat and makes it very hard to create. As the saying goes...curiosity.... he is a curious George....into everything! Well I have a few projects to share....some new some old. I have a few Easter goodies left in my etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/cherryjn. Hope to start making a few Mother's day goodies..and will be sharing my GCD Studios projects with you shortly. I hope you all are fairing well. XoXo, Cherry

Smiling ear to ear.......

Yep been smiling ear to ear for OHHH several days now.....WHY???? There are 7 of us gals....I can't wait to "hang" with these wonderful talented group of ladies. Just wait to see the projects that will be coming your way! Tons of inspiration! If you want to read up more on this new adventure go here http://gcdstudios.blogspot.com/2010/03/our-new-facebook-team.html Yes...there is a pic of me over there...don't let that scare ya!

New supplies means

New creations! I got new papers and tidbits last week and of course had to play! It is so theraputic for me. Each card for me is like telling a story. You add a bit of this and a bit of that...and it starts to tell you a little story. I think coming from a family of "boys"....this paper crafting endeavor allows me to be a girly girl..for a brief amount of time. I had to add tulle to my manniquin card. The last time I used tulle was at my wedding. HOW sad! OF course burlap had to make an appearance.....I have been using that stuff for several years now. I have a huge bolt of it....(I was going to use to make curtains) and have yet to use it for that. I hope you enjoy my cards. I know I enjoy sharing all my paper creations with you. It is a big chunk of my world at this time and that is what I choose to share. Well happy Monday. It is a gloomy cus outside today....but inside we have chocolate chip cookies and a warm fire. So I am good! XOXO, Cherry

Keep In Touch Card Kit Time Pic HEAVY

To say I was excited when opening up this box of goodies from Kelly http://www.kitcardshop.com/ would be the understatement of the year. Talk about vintage in ALL its glory! Her kits are like opening up Disneyland in a box. Her kits are very versatile & FULL of goodies...this time I did both cards and a few art plaques. You could use them also for layouts (which I sorely need to get back to, I have so many pics piling up) and banners, altered projects of all sorts. Many of the items she sent my way are from some of the GCD STUDIOS new lines....homespun and artsy urban....which just so you know is NOT easy to find....you can find many of the embellishments & their papers in her store. Many of the up close photos you see....of the fabric brads, metal embellishments, and the gorgeous vintage style buttons are ALL GCD STUDIOS and Kelly HAS THEM. SOOOO if I were you and you love that vintage look....I would not delay in getting over to Kelly's. I have noticed her kits are not lasting long. I have had several people tell me "I went over there...and everything was gone". She has some beauts over there with some of the new CHA goodies in them as well. Have fun....and I think she may have added some gorgeous new photos of her home. Goooo visit! Please tell her I sent ya! I am off to finish some chores and go to the BIG town and get groceries...GOOD TIMES! xoox, cherry
