All about the berries....

Can you believe it is almost August?   I am really loving Summer and the sunshine.  I also love the berries that come with this time of year....and making cards with that theme.  Using reds, pinks, and greens..yum!   I had time to play ...just because... the other day which did my heart good.   Thought I would share!  Raspberries, strawberries, and cherries......it is all good!  I of course used a bunch of yummy red seam binding .    I have added these to my poorly neglected Etsy store.  Take a peek! Enjoy and happy Summer, cherry

Scaredy cat...errrr Dog!

Did you do a double take?  Halloween already?   I can't help myself!  Plus...it is always good to get a head start.   I have this cute little holiday greeting made for RRR.   As you can see I did a step by step. I accidentally erased one of my pics but I think you get the gist of it.  1) Gathered my goodies together , 2) Covered my cardstock with papers half and half and started the base of my bow by wrapping it around card and tying knott.  3) I added my button and scallop border made with my sizzix, 4) Added my cute image from Crafty Secrets and the glitter border at the bottom, 5) From here I just added a couple of dimensional goodies - bats and glitter star using 3d foam adhesive.   I added my banner sentiment at the top and was done!  Cute and ready to put a bit of a smile on someone this fall!  Enjoy!  Cherry

Wings and things..

New challenge up at RRR ....this time it is wings with ribbon.   Let your imagination go wild with this one!   I decided to go soft and shabby with this lace butterfly.  Adding hints of gold with my blues.  I used seam binding in bay leaf along with 1/4 natural crochet lace from May Arts at the bottom and top.  I never tire of a little vintage and shabby!   Thanks for stopping by ya'll.  hugs, cherry

ribbons used: May Arts 1/4 natural crochet lace, Bay leaf seam binding, 1/4 inch Scor-Tape

Blog hopping with RRR

Time for blog hoppin with RRR.   You should have found your way here from Victoria's blog.   If at anytime you lose your way, just start back at the RRR blog.   Sweet summer colors in this delightful mix.   I went pretty simple with my card and just chose to use the pink gingham in the club assortment.  I liked the bold pop of color it added to my card.  That is it for me...next stop is Jenn's blog.   Have fun ya'll!  cherry

Your smile is planted in my heart

Howdy!   Cherry here to share a card today. I have had this sweet image from Crafty Secrets sitting on my desk and finally decided to use it.  I used my favorite reds and garden greens for the main colors.   I used red lipstick seam binding for my red bow and the lace from this month's ribbon club assortment as a border along the bottom half.  Hope you enjoy!  cherry

fat cat redo

Happy almost 4th to you!  I have an altered chipboard box to share today.   It had a door to it as you can see ....cute but I had different plans.  I cut it out and went to town covering it in papers, images, and little sewing bits.  I added Rosemary natural crochet lace around the outer edges along with 1.5 light blue crochet lace on the outer sides.  I topped it off with faux canvas ribbon in natural to make my big bow.  Hope you enjoy!   Have a great 4th tomorrow!  cherry
