Grandma's recipes...

Can't believe February is almost here,  Tomorrow the Super Bowl.  I am not a big football fan so I will snuggle away in my craft room for the day.  I finally got this little project done today.  A sweet red and aqua pocket full of fun baking goodies...little tags, baking images, antique bingo chip and vintage milk caps.  Lots of fun things married together.  These type of projects take time for me....I often worry over the simplest little details...button placement.  Sigh.  It always boils down to buttons with me.  As always I used some pretty ribbons from RRR.   Well it has been a long day for me, I am off to bed.  I hope you enjoy, cherry

A plethora of Valentines...

Hello you busy with your Valentines?  So many more things that I want to create ...but I am running out of time!  I will be so sorry to see Valentines come and go!  The polka dots, bright reds, aquas, ribbons, hearts, sweet ole images.....all of it.  Sigh.  Another year before I can play.                                   Not to mention the chocolate.  I ordered See's Candy from the girl's basketball team......one for my parents (shhh don't tell) and one for yours truly!   For me there is nuttin like a cold can of coca cola and a bite of some creamy milk chocolate.  Just a little indulgence mind you!
All my cards use RRR ribbons....and bits and pieces of scrap papers, diecuts, and little unique doodads that I try hard to find when out exploring.   Always keeping my eye out for something a little different.   That is part of the fun!  I am off to bed to read for a bit!
                                                                                                          Enjoy!  Cherry

LOVE Mail...........

Happy Hump day  Getting my fill of Valentine goodness.  I will be so sorry to see it go. Truly.  I think it is my favorite holiday.  It must be all the red.  I love red.  Makes me happy.  When I found this sweet mail box I swoooned.  It is the perfect red. Classic.  I knew that I had to pair it with this gorgeous wool chunky knitted flower I found.  I bought two of these flowers, I fell in love with them.  I found them at Hallmark of all places.  I plopped that puppy right on top and added several diffrent ribbons.  Added a cute stamped chalkboard tag and than got busy with adding paper layers and images.  Some sweet gingham words spelling out LOVE and SWAK and buttons,  I had to make several chipboard mini mail as well to tuck inside and than I was done!  Kinda reminds me of the cute little mail boxed we would make as kids.  Remember those?  Those were the days!  Well my darlings...hope you enjoy!  I am off for bed very soon!  hugs cherry

Sweet on You....

Happy Thursday ya'll!  Been having fun using small pieces of card stock to create cards....using up all my pattern scraps.  I created these for RRR.  All you need is paper scraps and a few basic shape diecuts.  I used Spellbinders and Wplus9 dies.  To make them pop I used foam adhesive.  I use a lot of this stuff to make my cards have dimension.  From there just use something as your focal point.  My theme was sweets...so I used a sweet little cupcake and a piece of faux candy.  The ribbons I used are 1 inch satin with grosgrain edge in pink , Helen white crochet lace, and pink burlap string.  I topped off my mini tags with sweet little sweetheart blossoms.   Hope you enjoy!  Cherry

For a Daughter......

Good morning to you all!  As I was creating these goodies I kept thinking how feminine and soft.  My first project reminds me of something I would create for a daughter...if I had one.  Very girlish and sweet.  Little girls, pig tails, and dolls.  Since I have a son I love to be able to sit down and play with my pink.  Also my aqua.  One of my favorite pairings is red and aqua.   That is what my craft room is in.  Just makes me happy.  Lots of yummy seam bindings from RRR of course.  Most of what I played with is just ole goodies in my stash.  I am one of those that always mixes collections.  Hope you enjoy!  I am off to the big town for groceries.  Hugs, cherry
