Gobble Gobble

Hello there!  Happy Veteran's Day!  Such a great day to thank those that have served our country.  I wanted to pop in real quick and share some quick little Thanksgiving baskets that would be perfect for the dinner table this year.  They would be paired well with place cards for guests or as a hostess gift.  Perfect size for a couple of delicious treats.

I used RRR ribbons, Petaloo blooms, a bit of tinsel, acorns, and  gorgeous antique amber rhinestone buttons.

I used vintage sheet music and shredded it up for confetti.

Well folks.....I think it is this girl's bed time......night night!   Cherry

Many Thanks

November 5th?  Say it ain't so?  Well that means ....it is quite ole right to pull out all the stops on holiday creations....it is on!  A Thanksgiving Card for you today using 5/8th Pale Gold Taffeta ribbon It makes the prettiest bows.

I centered a beautiful antique button in the middle....

Along with lots of beaded branches, berries, acorns I collected from the grocery store parking lot....yep I sure did!  Nature is everywhere!  Who doesn't like free acorns?

I also nestled a pretty botanical of leaves among my branches.

Well folks I am off like a herd of turtles today...moving rather slow!  Thanks for visiting, Cherry

Little snow owl...

New challenge up at the RRR blog!  It is a "Tag your it"  challenge...so we want to see your tags with ribbons folks!  Here is my take on the challenge.  I altered this little metal tag.

I used a combination of red bold check, and red lipstick seam binding.

I love this little owl...he is getting a Winter's nap perched on his branch.

Well hope you join us this week!  hugs, Cherry

Christmas Fire should kindle in your Heart

Hi folks!  There was sunshine today....it thrilled me to see blue sky peeking through.  We have had days and days of rain and fog.  Very unlike our typical weather here in the high desert.  With November here I turn more and more to making Christmas goodies.  Here is a card made today...

I had fun creating the inside .....making it as special as the outside!  I cut out a mini postcard and backed it with thick chipboard to create a sturdy little secret image.  I than tucked it inside a mini vellum envelope.  I just love this Christmas poem from an Authentique collection.

I added lace from RRR and a chipboard heart with vintage buttons.

Here is the outside using lots of foam adhesive for dimension.  I love all the nooks and crannies it creates.

Well that is it for me......as always thanks for visiting!  Hugs, Cherry

Pink lovelies...

Hello folks..... I won't lie, I am in a dismal mood.  It has been raining for days.  I joke not.  Been in craft room a lot lately.  It is the only thing that keeps me sane right now! Thought I would pop in with a fun little creation I tinkered with today.  I found a bag of commercial creamers at an estate sale and paired them with my little pink trees.  So happy they found a place to nestle.

Today is was all about the pink ......apparently.  I broke into some beautiful Petaloo blooms.

I swear they were oldies if I didn't no better......lovely vintage quality.

I used some antique rhinestone buttons from my stash.......a stash ever growing.  I never seem to want to part with them...

Little hand stamped sentiments and beautiful RRR seam binding.

Little glittered balls.....along with vintage glass buttons......they look like crystal balls....so pretty.

And my friends....that is about it.  I am going to go eat a muffin.....a pumpkin muffin.  Maybe that will lift my spirits!  hugs, Cherry

A Merry Christmas

Hello there RRR fans!  Cherry here to share a project.  I have had plenty of time to create lately.  The weather has been horrific.  So inside I stay.  One of my favorite things to create are little plaques, signs...anything I can alter.  This one has oodles of cuteness.

I used acyrlic rhinestones and bead berry sprays in red to adorn my layered goodies.

Love all that sugary goodness!  Don't you?

To hang my plaque I wound shimmer satin in poppy red through the plaque and made my bows.  I just love this.....I am sure because of the red and gingham!  Hope you enjoy, Cherry

Count your Blessings

Helllllo paper peeps!  Cherry here to share some Fall creations made for Petaloo ....I love this time of year.  The colors turning into darker warmer tones.  Being inside my house nesting and baking.  Nothing better!  Also add crafting to that list.  With all the rain I have been lucky to steal snatches of time back in the craft room.   A couple of Thanksgiving cards....using textured blooms, burlap leaves, ribbons and more!!
