Happpy fall

How can it be that Fall is just days away? Officially that is.  It has been quite dry here and there are forest fires still in the surrounding area.  So rain would be a welcoming sight.   We are starting to get use to our schedules and the activities that come with school.  We are busy with football practices and games.  Something that I am trying to get use to.....seeing my son hit and taken down.  Why must football be so brutal?   I must toughen up.  I'm getting there.
I know I have already shared several halloween projects, but I realized I havn't done anything just for fall.  I pulled out a few things in rustic oranges and browns.  Some fun diecuts and stamps and had fun just doing a couple of fallish cards.   I really enjoyed these colors...very warm and comforting.
Hope you have enjoyed and as always thank-you so much for letting me share!  hugs, cherry

RRR September Blog Hop

It is that time of the month for the September Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop! You should have found your way here from my gal Gloria's .   The september ribbons  are right up my alley!  All full of Halloween holiday cheer!  I had so much fun playing with them.  I had a large kraft bag and you know me and bags.  I had to deck it out with Halloween finery.  The ribbons were the icing on the cake.  I simply tied bow after bow at the top of the bag.  Love how the colors contrast and play off eachother.  I also used them on a couple of smaller bags that I tucked in the larger one.  So cheerful in a Halloweeny kinda way!  Now your next stop is Ms. Emily's .  Make sure to check out all the girl's gorgeous creations.  If you get lost just start back at the rrr blog.  Have fun!  hugs, cherry

More Halloween goodies...

Hi there folks! Today I have a quick little project for Really Reasonable Ribbon .   Yes...it is another Halloween project.....I can't stop making these treat bags.  I JUST can't.  This time I double deckered them and put a mini pocket onto a larger pocket.  Yes.  I think I need help.  O ' well I had fun.  I used some fun papers , buttons, glittered chipboard stars, some fun stitched vintage style images and of course oodles of ribbons.  Yummy Halloweeny style ribbons.  I used it for bows and borders and for tails on one of the pockets.  I also had fun using tulle for the bottom of each pocket.  I think my favorite is that sweet Halloween twine.  How cute is that?  Well that is it for me.  I appreciate you visiting me!  Hugs, cherry

Odd ball Pairing

Soooo hello there...happy September! I have a couple of odd ball pairings here for you today made for
Vintage Street Market.

I say odd ball because they are completely diffrent projects.  I made a sweet little vintagey plaque made from the sweet bingo cards in the craft pantry staples, some twirly twine, stick pins, garment pins, and a diecut from the ever favorite Dimestore Vintage.  The other project is an oh so cute Halloween treat bag! I used the polka dot paper from the Family fun pack, another bingo card from the craft pantry staples, more twirly twine, and a cute little diecut buckle from the Dimestore collection again.   Just some fun things to hopefully inspire you!  Happy weekend!  cherry

Jar full of spooky...

Happy September! I couldn't let a holiday go by with out filling up the the mason jar from The Rubber Cafe! This time with spooky stars for Halloween. I love how large this stamp is....you can fill it with just about anything. I used up some fun Halloween scraps and stamped my images and gave them some fussy cutting. I added some stitching with combinations of zig zag and straight stitching.
From there it was time to do a little embellishing. I added some glittered up chipboard stars and stacked some buttons on top. I also added some grunged up seambindings and halloween twine and a cute tag. The tag was perfect to add some black soot jellie dots to for added detail. I topped it off with a big chunky button and I was done. Hope you enjoy! hugs, cherry
