Just a Wee project...

Does anyone know why Blogger has chosen not to let us enlarge our pics lately in edit html? I know of several of you that are also having this problem.

Halloween project..AGAIN. Hey it is still a week away...so anywhoooo....I took one of my many barn stars and used it for a template and drew it on to some cardboard (YES ladies save those cereal boxes). I glued two layers of cardboard together so it was thicker. Used the cardboard template for the paper and glued her on. Sanded the edges (I use a cheap nail file) distressed with inks (Had several of you ask what type of inks I use, I like Tim Holtz Airiondack inks). Added some fun embellies. See the cute witch ticket? Love those! I hung it here in "my room"...oy what a mess. Hope your Friday night is rockin! Thanks sooo much for actually reading about me...and saying it was interesting. You guys are the best. Warm fuzzies! Hugs, cherry

  11. Cherry!!!! I had an idea for you...by the way love the new project! I think you need to make a box with some type of cherry design on it~like a signature box. So many of us, yes I must confess, love your blog! So...why not design a lovely box like the ones you have made, but with cherry papers, something adorable on top...vintage cherry postcard or something? Just an idea, but I think they would sell like hotcakes! Also...with Christmas, cherries are red and green, you could go Holiday or everyday! WooHooo I love your projects and look forward to many more~especially over the holidays!
    Blessings,
    Debbie

  49. Hi again Cherry~
I have never heard of the Xyron (sp?) adhesive machine before; what does it do exactly? I just used a glue stick and also normal white glue for mine. (The letters that aren't adhesive don't stick as well with the glue stick, but normal Elmer's glue worked.) There is so much out there I never knew existed! :)

  50. You've got such a cute blog spot!
I think this idea could be applied to Christmas by using the same star and swapping out Halloween embellies to Christmas. What do you think?
    Thanks for sharing.

  53. OMG I am so glad you left me that comment, for sometimes I feel like I do nothing but read! I have neglected my family, my housework and I couldn't wait for my husband to take his business trip so I could read to my heart's content (of course as soon as I finished the first book I was ready for him to come home). I am frantically searching for someone I know who has read these books so I will have a buddy to go to the theater with when the movie comes out. Wish me luck my friend! I love all of your decor by the way! Smiles, Paula

  60. Hello!! I put your cute necklaces in the mail yesterday. I can't wait for you to see them!! I loved making them for you. The store is in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is absolute heaven!! I love it!! The pictures do not do it a bit of justice. I actually sent the owner a crystal necklace today. One just like yours.... who knows, maybe she might carry them one day. It never hurts to dream right?? Have a blessed night my friend. Leslie

  62. That is super cute. Everything you have done lately is super cute.

You asked if I have broken out my Martha glitter......I have!! I bought some dollar frames for some gift certificates we had for a silent auction basket. I glittered one of them and added curly ribbon and small balloons (it was for a free Gymnastics party at the YMCA). It came out really cute! Love me some glitter.
