Does anyone know why Blogger has chosen not to let us enlarge our pics lately in edit html? I know of several of you that are also having this problem.
Halloween project..AGAIN. Hey it is still a week away...so anywhoooo....I took one of my many barn stars and used it for a template and drew it on to some cardboard (YES ladies save those cereal boxes). I glued two layers of cardboard together so it was thicker. Used the cardboard template for the paper and glued her on. Sanded the edges (I use a cheap nail file) distressed with inks (Had several of you ask what type of inks I use, I like Tim Holtz Airiondack inks). Added some fun embellies. See the cute witch ticket? Love those! I hung it here in "my room"...oy what a mess. Hope your Friday night is rockin! Thanks sooo much for actually reading about me...and saying it was interesting. You guys are the best. Warm fuzzies! Hugs, cherry
aww, thats really cute, I likie!! Im not creative at all, but I would like to be... Your blog is creatiive, I jjust love the header, very cute!! Leah

Have a great weekend!
Lovin' this idea - and what genius to use two layers of cardboard! I'm thinking that doing the same idea for Christmas would be super cute too!

Cherry!!!! I had an idea for you...by the way love the new project! I think you need to make a box with some type of cherry design on it~like a signature box. So many of us, yes I must confess, love your blog! So...why not design a lovely box like the ones you have made, but with cherry papers, something adorable on top...vintage cherry postcard or something? Just an idea, but I think they would sell like hotcakes! Also...with Christmas, cherries are red and green, you could go Holiday or everyday! WooHooo I love your projects and look forward to many more~especially over the holidays!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
SO adorable. I just keep lovin' your projects!!

ReplyDeleteI love your blog! The whole design is initially so appealing, but then I got swept in by all your darling crafts. You are so creative! Can't wait to check out your Etsy store.
Hi again Cherry~
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the Xyron (sp?) adhesive machine before; what does it do exactly? I just used a glue stick and also normal white glue for mine. (The letters that aren't adhesive don't stick as well with the glue stick, but normal Elmer's glue worked.) There is so much out there I never knew existed! :)
You've got such a cute blog spot!
ReplyDeleteI think this idea could be applied to Christmas by using the same star and swapping out Halloween embellies to Christmas. What do you think?
Thanks for sharing.
Sweet Wishes.
Sara
Hey Cherry,
ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance stop by my blog you have been Boo-ed!!! ♥
This is another wonderful project from one of the most creative ladies in the world! I love this!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
OMG I am so glad you left me that comment, for sometimes I feel like I do nothing but read! I have neglected my family, my housework and I couldn't wait for my husband to take his business trip so I could read to my heart's content (of course as soon as I finished the first book I was ready for him to come home). I am frantically searching for someone I know who has read these books so I will have a buddy to go to the theater with when the movie comes out. Wish me luck my friend! I love all of your decor by the way! Smiles, Paula
ReplyDeleteI love it...just love that look! Plus making it yourself is the best! You go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darlin' idea! I never thought about my cereal boxes that way - how clever. You are one creative chic!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your store - I bet you'll sell out in a jiffy - 'cause it is all just too darn cute!!! Have a blessed week! Cathy
Cherry, I always love seeing your projects!! I wish I had an OUNCE of your creativity for crafts!!! You are an inspiration! As for posting pictures, I haven't a clue. I need YOUR help, I can't even put pics between the text of my posts. I'm blonde though, LOL :)

Hello!! I put your cute necklaces in the mail yesterday. I can't wait for you to see them!! I loved making them for you. The store is in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is absolute heaven!! I love it!! The pictures do not do it a bit of justice. I actually sent the owner a crystal necklace today. One just like yours.... who knows, maybe she might carry them one day. It never hurts to dream right?? Have a blessed night my friend. Leslie
ReplyDeleteCherry,
ReplyDeleteI've visited your site before--lots of great stuff. I feel honored for the visit and the sweet comment. Have a great week!
That is super cute. Everything you have done lately is super cute.
ReplyDeleteYou asked if I have broken out my Martha glitter......I have!! I bought some dollar frames for some gift certificates we had for a silent auction basket. I glittered one of them and added curly ribbon and small balloons (it was for a free Gymnastics party at the YMCA). It came out really cute! Love me some glitter.
I am really going to miss all of this super fun Halloween decor! Friday is coming too fast! I had to pop in and let you know that I LOVE the Method wood cleaner. It is simply a must have and I may dedicate an entire post to it. Ha! Ha! It smells like almond - need I say more? And it is like it repells the dust. I am in love! :o)
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love your new little Halloween creation! I enjoy visiting different blogs like yours and seeing Halloween things!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments - if you do the glass charms let me know! :)
ReplyDeleteI usually just make my pictures big enough to fit within my content area and if I want them to see a larger version I just provide a link to the larger version in my post.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea...it is so creative, and I love the fact that it is made, in part by cereal boxes, scrapbook paper (which we all have too much of...lol) and a few embelishments. Seeing how this is Halloween night, I am going to save this idea and copy-cat you for Christmas!! Just need to change the paper but keep the star!!
ReplyDeleteYou are one talented lady!! I've tagged you on my blog.
