Boy Time flies....

Riley is grumpy......wants his ball thrown!

New end tables.....I think I need to bang them up a bit...MORE distressing.

Man I can't believe it is venturing towards the middle of Jan. already. I had a wonderful Christmas with our family. It came and went with furious speed as it does each year. I hope all of yours were wonderful and full of sweet memories. Like many of you, I am sure, it felt good to get everything put away and to have a new clean uncluttered space. I spent and still am doing some deep Winter cleaning. I was blessed to get a bit of Christmas money and used it to buy two new end tables in our family room & bought two organizers for my wonderous ever growing scrapbooking obsession. So I have been cleaning, tweaking here and there, doing a few Valentine projects, organizing, and , purging as good as the next gal. I also have a paint project going on in our master. So my juggling is not stopping in this new year.
One of the things I hope to do is learn more about my camara. Stop keeping it on automatic and stop being scared of it. I took some pics today of my bathroom and of our mantle in the Winter morning light. I thought I would share those with you. The pic of the corner chair is my fave place to snuggle up with some cocoa! I snapped one of some of our fave blankies...the green afghan is one that my grandmother knitted for me many years ago. Of course Riley got in on the act...he is bugged at me for not playing ball with him! I found the boxes last night at Tj's all for of them for 5.00! They say LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE. I love them and love the subtle reminder they bring to our family room. Been playing with textures etc. The one of the rock is our fireplace...my one white elephant. I love the rock but not the mantle...owell. Anyways....I missed ya all and hope to get to visit you all soon! I have many projects to share! Hugs, cherry

  12. Time is definitely flying by!! I am almost embarrassed to admit this, but I am still putting away Christmas decor....I am usually right on it, but this year we went away through New Year's and I just have not had the time or energy.

Good luck with the camera...it is SCARY at first, but when you have a good camera it is kind of waste to shoot in manual.....step out of your comfort zone....you will be pleasantly surprised:)

  32. I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one who feels like Christmas came "with a furious speed"
I always feel like I've been drop out of a whirlwind when it's over and it takes me a while to get my bearings again----still trying to do that.
It's too bad we don't live closer. One of my goals this year is to finally take the free class that was offered when I bought my camera almost a YEAR ago.
I love the glimpses of your home!

  40. Love your pictures. Everything looks so warm and inviting. I tend to keep my camera at the same setting but I want to branch out and learn how to use it. I was considering a digital SLR then realized I haven't used the camera I have properly yet! It is only a year old. How wasteful. No more new stuff, use what you have is my motto. (Now if I can stick too it...)So if you learn any good camera tips let us know, Pam

I've been wanting to try out that Biggest Loser workout DVD. How is it?? Do you like it?? I hear that the contestents are the ones doing the workouts and now some already teeny tiny physically fit babes in too tight leotards. Please let me know how it is. Thanks!

P.S. I just got some nesting boxes for Christmas and I can't wait to put them up on this little shelf I have. Your photo reminded me!

  46. Riley is so mellow when he wants his ball thrown! Maxie starts dropping it ON our feet when he wants to play. I WISH he'd lay down and sulk about it!

Time does fly - think how fast last year went by. This year will be over before we know it.

    All the photos look great!

  49. Looks really homey and comfortable. I have that problem of cameraphobia, too! My problem is also that when it's time to take a picture, like low light, the scene is gone by the time I figure it out! Have fun learning yours! Karen
