Our theme for June was to be inspired by neck ties, bow ties, and the color blue. Which of course was perfect for Father's Day! I wanted to challenge myself to do something cleaner....more simple. My first card is of course a neck tie....pretty literal. Very simple and clean for me. I had to use a little vintage though..and added sheet music (which has necktie in the chorus) to the collar. My second little card....I had this vintage page from a child's book and HAD to use it on this project. How perfect? I just had to say.....GCD STUDIOS paper....works so perfectly with old images....from books, etc.. I used four different patterns..both from Artsy Urban and Homespun Chic and they work so well together. The sweet little fabric brad and blue buttons are also from the Homespun Chic line. Hope you like my interpretation! XOXO, Cherry

ReplyDeleteLove these. Blue is definitely masculine. Where did you get the blue tablecloth looking paper on this card:

It is exactly what I was looking for.
You are very talented. I love the second card. Vintage illustrations are sweet, especially when you create such lovely cards with them! You have a knack for putting just the right embellishments together to create a masterpiece.
