Hi there!  How are you?  Did you guys all make it through the Super bowl?  I was the designated bean dip  and cocktail weanies chef.  Very high class I tell ya.  Today  has been a reminder that alas...Winter is not over rover.  Nope.  Cold and snow flurries.  Luckily it has not stuck.   Oy.

 At any rate...it was a great day to try out a few ideas I had using some antique handkerchiefs I found while out and about at my fave thrift store.  I am sure you have heard the term "Waste not Want not"...a term heavily used during the great depression. They knew a value of  a dollar and used what they had. Repurpose reuse....two beautiful words in my dictionary.  I have a thing for old scraps of fabric and collect them...including hankies (I have a few of my great grandmothers that are dear to me) this time I allowed myself to cut a few up  and had fun using them on cards.  I plan to take the time to repurpose more often...I like the outcome.  The two other cards I used scrappies on...I swear 2011 is the year for scraps!  I am over run with them.    The frame on the one card I painted (did not like the original color) and serendipity reared its head and made it chippy for me!  LOVE how that happens from time to time.  I like using the unexpected.  How about you?  Well I am off to catch up on dishes...the dish fairy never came.    Hugs, cherry
