How was it?
Thought I would sneek in here quickly and find out how all your holidays went? Was everyone's Christmas warm and cheery? I sure hope so! Ours was wonderful...intimate and quiet. I do notice that as I get older...it comes faster and faster...and than it is gone. I will have to hold it dear in my heart so that it never completely departs. That is indeed where Christmas is and should always be.....in our hearts. We are snug inside..with new jammies on and a good supply of hot chocolate..a staple in these parts. Outside is like looking inside a snow glbe...the roads are miserable so I will stay home. I have been fascinated lately with pinks...varying shades.....and the love holiday that will come soon. I can completely embrace my fem side with the laces, pinks, and dainty little details. I love it! Here are a few snippets of projects I have been working on. If I don't make it back soon......Have a happy and safe New Years. You will know where I will be.....safe and snug like a bug in a rug...right at home! hugs, cherry

Snow and sunshine
Hello there...as you can see we have lots of snow....ba humbug the snow. Today is my birthday and as usual I am stuck inside. I dream of happy summer birthdays....well at least I did before I got to the point of not wanting them at all....but what can you do? Today I have been a sloth...eating Costco pumpkin pie for my birthday cake...YUM. Grease is on and next Summer place....which I love the music too. If there can't be sunshine here at least I can see it on the teli. Hunter and the cat and dog LOVED the snow..good thing because we are suppose to get more for the next 7 days. I have not done a lot of creating except for projects that are due for design teams but a few of these were made just because I felt like it. Love the worn subtle colors of days gone by. Adding things that someone may have forgotton about and slipped into a drawer. Getting use out of buttons and twine...well makes it happy. The last project was made using some gorgeous Magistical Memories chipboard http://www.magisticalmemories.com/ and my friend Patsy from Prarie Bird Boutique http://www.etsy.com/shop/PrairieBirdBoutique sent some of the most luscious distressed ribbons with variations in color....simply yummy. Reminds me of the colors of ribbon candy. Which reminds me I have not stared any of my baking.....hmmmm. This weather calls for fantasy fudge and sugar cookies....and maybe a few spritz. Well I digress....hope you all are doing well. If I don't make it back before Christmas....have a Merry one with those you love! hugs, cherry

A Little Birdie....
Hi there....I am sure by now everyone is in a Christmas frenzy...baking, decorating, wrapping, and wassailing away! I thought I would pop in with a little card made for Magistical Memories http://www.magisticalmemories.com/ using part of an Amy Teets design (the other part of the chipboard is used on another project.) called leaf. I painted it white linen and glittered it with clearsnaps glitter. I than wanted it to look a bit antiqued so I added a bit of glimmer mist to give it almost a tea-stained look in places. I took off the top leaves of the branch to make it look more like a limb. Than I went to work adding my little birdy and embellishing him with a crown....and adding a few shabby touches here and there. I also used my coveted Helmar adhesive...which sadly is almost gone...I NEED more! Santa do you hear me???? Well hope you enjoy...I think my birdy likes his new home on the limb. What do you think? Merry Christmas all! Cherry

Snippets of Christmas
Hello....I am finally getting around to adding a few items around the house for Christmas. I am moving at a snails pace this year. My fave place to decorate each year is my garage sale wall hutch. I like to add my vintage dishware, santa mugs, and other little bric a brac to it. Most items were found second hand. Hope you like.
Other than that a few cards created last week. A new years card with the sweetest old fashion image of a little girl, and some wintery fun cards....who can resist ice skates? The last two cards were created for a special friend and etsy customer.....snowmen...my favorite! I love to k eep my snowmen items out after Christmas. Fits right in to our winter wonderland around here. Also helps to keep the winter blahs away a bit. Hope you all are doing well and getting all the check lists done. I am sure you are way ahead of me. Hugs to you all, cherry
