Hello Spring, Guesting for Petaloo!!!

Well Helllllo Spring!  Greetings to you!  Cherry here with my first guest post for Petaloo!  I am so excited to share my first project today.
I love the colors that start to come to life during this time of year.  The grass starts to peek out from the snow and the days grow a wee bit warmer.  With that in mind I was inspired by the gorgeous greens in the Botanica collection.  I paired my flowers with the Graphic 45 Children's Hour 6 x 6 Patterns & Solids Pad paper.  I created a little mini banner using Petaloo's Fancy Trims and Graphic 45's alphabet sticker sheet.  I also used the trim to frame out my sweet vintage image to give it more dimension.  I topped my card off with some pretty ribbons and added the rest of my sentiment by layering a sweet mini tag from Graphic 45 along with a "hello" sticker from their sticker sheet.  I anchored them with a mini clothespin for fun.  Now this little cutie is ready to to bring a smile to someone special!  Thanks for visiting today!  Cherry

Hey Lady....

Hey ladies.....lady bug that is!  Popping in briefly to share a sweet simple little card made for Raspberry Road.  I used their Cherry Bliss paper pack #2 paper kit.  Soooo darn cute.  I kept it simple and playful...adding some layered borders, stickers, and I came up with the sentiment using some letter stickers.  Would make an adorable birthday card!  There are cherries AND ladybugs....ummmm quite possibly the cutest combo ever.   Enjoy!  Cherry

Happy Times this Way

Happy Friday!  Ohhhhh and Happy Spring!  Hopefully your Spring has made its debut.  Unlike here where it is still spitting snow on and off.  It is my day over at the Really Reasonable Blog.  Bright and happy is what I craved today.  I grabbed oodles of lipstick red seam binding and matched it up with scraps, bingo cards, stickers, and anything that made me smile!  I also used Moss seam binding and Green Apple baker's twine for contrast.
Several of the cards I also decked out the inside for fun.  Great way to use scraps and tidbits.   Sometimes I like to put my sentiment inside as well....that way I can either build on the theme or not have to worry about fitting it on the front.  Well that is it for me....enjoy your weekend!  Cherry

shabby

Popping in this evening with a few shabby cards.  First starting in on a few Mother's day cards.  May will be here before long.  I used scraps from my bin and a lovely sticker image from Graphic 45.  It is so hard for me to use just one collection...I always like to mix and match.  I added a gorgeous little bloom from Petaloo.  I love their flowers.
My second card is just as shabby...using pinks and greens....I have had this Crate chipboard piece for ages and finally used it.  I was kinda hoarding it.  Again a mix of this and that.  I used tulle and seam binding from RRR.  Ok that is it for me...off to watch some shows.  Cherry

I am linking up to the challenge over at Word Art Wednesday !!!!!!!!!!!

Upcycled Easter Project for CCB

Hello Canvas Corp peeps!  I have a fun up cycled project that I am sharing here and over at the CCB blog.   I used a metal sign I found second hand.  Pretty scene...but no personality..right?  I removed the ribbon it came with and added some pretty gingham from RRR.  I gathered all my fun embellishments I wanted to use and went to town making this little sign my own.
I cut out some Green Lattice Paper to use as my background.  I than cut out my Spring Showers Spring sayings paper in Ivory and cut out rabbit image.  I added foam adhesive to back to adhere and bring in some dimension.  I also decided to fussy cut the little "it's Spring time" banner from same paper for some more interest.  From here I added some metal border that I immersed in a bath of vinegar and bleach to age it and added it to the bottom of sign.  From here I started adding my Petaloo flowers and mini speckled eggs along with the faux branches and sticks.  Last but not least I added my fussy cut banner and added some mini clothes pins for fun and a bit of whimsy!   I think this would be so pretty on the Easter table this season or hanging from the door to greet your guests.

Materials used-metal sign from thrift store
 ribbon-Really Reasonable ribbon
Paper- Green lattice paper, Spring showers spring sayings on ivory
embellishments-small clothespins avocado, Petaloo flowers, florist branches-Michaels
eggs-Michaels

Well here it is done......I loved how it turned out!

Craving happy...

Soooo I thought Spring had sprung....but apparently I was very VERY wrong.  It has been snowing for the last three days.  Sigh.   Soooooo I am making my own weather inside with some bright happy birthday cards created for RRR.  I used similiar color schemes on both but they have very different looks.  I used chevron striped twill in turquoise, Paradise aqua seam binding, and bakers twine in teal.  I also topped my chevron bow with some sweet little red sweetheart blossoms.  I think they are a couple of cuties...and they make me smile!  Hugs, Cherry
