Halloween banner

Hello folks...my day over at the RRR blog.  I had so much fun making this banner.  Lots of diecut layers with foam adhesive for dimension.

Seeing the layers and mix of patterns makes me happy! Not to mention the bright happy Halloween colors.

I can never get enough gingham either.  I used both plaid ribbon in black  and in orange.   I used the 5/8 width size and it makes the best big chunky bows.

I added some black sequins, clothespins, and little metal rimmed tags spelling boo.

Well folks that is it for me!  As always hope you enjoyed!  hugs, Cherry

Hooty whooooooo???

Good evening to you!  Wanted to share our newest challenge over at RRR.  It is a buttons and bows challenge.  Which could not be more perfect...right?  Here is my little creation.  A hand stitched owl pillow ...a little prim and a little spooooky for the Fall holiday.

I used a walnut stained tag and hand stamped a spooky tree and sentiment.  I used an antique clothespin along with berries, a vintage button, and black 5/8 plaid ribbon wrapped around my pillow.

I topped off the plaid ribbon with some Burnt rust seam binding.  My favorite color for Fall.

Hope enjoy!   Hugs, Cherry

Spookems....

Happy Summer Sunday!  I am poppin in here for fun to share a few perfectly spooky goodies.  Just the right amount of spookem!  I love this owl!  He has the best expression.

I finally found a home for this wood October I picked up while out treasure hunting.  Love the graphic quality of it.  I of course used seam binding from RRR.  I love gray...it is my favorite new color.    I have been using it in my home a lot lately as well.  Love it on my Halloween goodies.

This next one I used a bunch of paper scraps and just let them plan my card for me!  I have so many scraps they will never all get used but it makes me feel a wee bit less guilty when I use them.

A few gorgeous Petaloo blooms made it on to this card....just the right little touch.

Last but not least......just a cutie.  Found this graphic on Lori's sweet blog and had to use it.

Are they not adorable?  I guess they are zooming around in their rag top somewhere in Halloween town!!!    These are available in my Cherry's Jubilee store!   Thanks for visiting, Cherry

Really Reasonable Ribbon Hop!!!

Happy weekend ya'll!  Time for blog hoppin at RRR.  You should have found your way here from Deborah's blog.  If at anytime you get lost...just find your way back to the RRR blog.

This month's ribbon assortment is called Colors of Autumn.  It is gorgeous!!!  Loved the color combinations

I created a couple of cards with the assortment.  Somewhere along the line...I started craving hot apple cider...looking at those colors you can see why!

The warm hues worked perfectly with my Fall goodies!  I used scor tape to adhere my ribbons.  Works great to get a nice flat smooth appearance.

I also used a bit of Green Apple baker's twine and moss green seam binding to one of my cards.

Well that is it for me folks.....make sure to check out all the gal's creations!  Next stop is back at the RRR blog!!!   Enjoy, Cherry

Santa says HI....

Greetings!  I have a post up at the RRR blog today!  I had some custom Christmas orders to get to which got me digging through my Christmas stash....yes gulp....I know it's a bit early.  I just could not help it...I had to make a Christmas card.

Fell in love with this 60's retro Santa.....and the colors!  I used the Chevron striped twill ribbon in turquoise which matched my image perfectly.

I topped it off with some white bead berries and a silver bell.

He just makes me smile!!!  What an elfish little Santa! Hope you enjoy!!!  Hugs, cherry

Old school ruler project

Hey folks!  Summer is just a rolling along and September is almost here.  This month over at the Petaloo blog we are coming up with fun "back to school projects".    Of course when I thought back to school....I thought "old school"....like vintage old school.   Love me some vintage and any chance to create using vintage items!

Petaloo blooms mix so well with true vintage items.  I had this collection of old rulers I had been hoarding and decided to put some to good use.

I used some old chipboard apples and covered them up and had fun embellishing with buttons, stickers, Petaloo sunflowers, botanica petites, and Dogwoods flowers

I than added the vintage rulers to the bottom portion of the apples for a neat Teacher gift!!!

I love how they turned out!   Thanks for visiting today!  hugs, cherry
