What's up cupcake!

Hi there......got a sweet tooth?  I do...but I am not indulging so the next best thing is making a card with a yummy cupcake.  I used Hey cupcake for my cupcake image.  Love the cute sentiment...I stamped that along the side of an index card.  I also used the little heart stamp and stamped across a manila shipping label for added detail.  I added an extra little sentiment along with ribbons and some dainty little millinary flowers for fun.  Hope you enjoy!

Creating Sunshine....

Hello....up to a little bit of sunshine creating?   I was so inspired by these gorgeous teal ice buttons from RRR.  They were my jumping off point.  I grabbed some of my scraps and started playing.  I cut three pieces of scrap paper down to a typical 5 1/2 x 4 card size.   I adhered them and stamped my sentiment down in the lower right side of card adding a teal ice button. From there I leaned on my banner diecuts to create layers and layers of "sunrays".  This is a great way to use up those wee size scrap pieces we all stubbornly will not throw away.   I used scor-tape to adhere the rays down and to layer them the way I wanted.  From there I added a bit of Samantha white crochet lace  with scor-tape to a chipboard circle and adhered it to the middle of my sun and than topped it off with a yummy teal ice button!
Now it was time to have fun with more ribbons.  I layered the Lyndsey white lace with light blue crochet lace for softness.  I than had to add some seambindings.  I combined the mimosa yellow with lace blue.  I added a couple of vintage millinary flowers and was done!  So fun to really use those papers, diecuts, and ribbons.  Less products but more of them!  Have fun!  hugs, cherry

Sunshine...

Time for a hopping party with Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We have a fun new selection of ribbons from the July Ribbon Club.  Happy sunshiney colors that make you smile.  You should have found your way here from Gloria's blog.  With the colors inspiring me I went with a homey cottagey card with some beloved terriers.  I grew up  with them and find the images so nostalgic.  I added a cute yoyo and diecut hearts to up the cute factor.  Hope it makes you smile!  Your next stop is with Heather.  Remember if you get lost just start back at the RRR link up above.  Have fun!  Cherry

Puppies and kitties...

Thank you so much for the well wishes!  I have been having knee problems.  I have a couple of sweet old fashion cards to share made for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I had a lot of fun with these.  Just love those sweet images from Crafty secrets.  I used some of my old flower stash and had fun using them as skirts.   I also embossed my sentiments to allow them to stand out a bit.   I was in a shabby mood and used my favorite rose petal and silver seam binding.  Soft and charming.  I also added Louise white crochet lace to the bottom of each card. Love the old fashion feel to these....hope you do too!  cherry

Hello are  you beating the heat??  I am just barely!  We have been in the 3 digit numbers.  I have two fun cards all about the puppy in your life.  You know me and my seam binding....I never tire of it. RRR has so many pretty shades...many new colors too.  I used Bay leaf and baby pink.  They add just the right amount of softness and a pop of color to my cards.  I also think they work so well with the vintage style images.  I will have another post from TRC later so come back.  Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry
