Star Spangled Banner

Hello folks!  Cherry  here to share a card.  Summer is quickly approaching.  So they say anyways.  You wouldn't know it to look at our weather.  The 4th is in the horizon so I have another fun patriotic cutie to share.

A fun rosette paired with a hand glittered star ............

I used a patriotic blending of glory blue, white, and lipstick red seam binding.

Some fun old fashion images paired with a gorgeous silver flourish.  I also topped my ribbons off with a red cherry blossom flower.

That is it for me..........................enjoy, Cherry

Using those neutral ribbons

Hello there...keeping this short and sweet!  Today is my day over at the RRR blog.  Sharing two cards with you.  First up a fun Bee card ready for someone's birthday.

I decided to make two very different cards using the same ribbon....that is why it is always good to have some neutral whites in your ribbon stash.  It will go with everything!  These cards use the checkerboard satin in off-white.  I also used a white cosmo daisy in the middle of my bows.

My next card is just fun and whimsical.  I love this Graphic 45 paper collection.

Well that is it for me.....enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Really Reasonable Blog Hop!

Hello folks!  It is time for a blog hop with RRR!  Hope you are having fun with us today!  You should have found your way here from Deborah's beautiful blog.  If at anytime you find yourself lost just start back at the RRR blog.

This month's ribbons are devine!  They will get you in the mood for the 4th or for any patriotic project you might have in mind.

Here are my creations....full of the old glory spirit!   Hands down my fave color combo.

I got a little extra glitter here and there, but I kinda like the way it lightly splattered across the card!

I love adding crepe paper to cards....adds so much dimension.   I actually used the Authentique cover that came with this paper collection....it had a cool patchwork look to it and I could not bear to throw it away.  That is also where the "Freedom" came from.  :)

Next up is an Easter metal sign that needed a redo.  I got it at a local thrift store.  The neat "airmail" sticker came from the Kraft Outlet.  This gingham just makes me swoon....does it you?

I also used some Wild Orchid Craft cherry blossoms  in mixed aquas/blues along with a couple of the red Cherry blossoms.

That is it for me......I am off to the races...literally.  My son is competing in Track Districts on the Oregon coast!    See you all soon! Next stop for you is back at the RRR blog.   Cherry

Petaloo Mother's Day card

Hello Petaloo peeps!  Coming by today to share an oh so shabby card for Mom.  With Mother's Day coming up this would be a perfect greeting!

2016-04-13 039

I fell in love with the yellow burlap butterflies in the textured elements collection.  That was my inspiration for this card.

2016-04-13 038

I used paper scraps, Canvas Corp pattern papers, and a few embellishments to add some black accents.  I think it adds a nice contrast and a bit of sophistication.

2016-04-13 037

For my sentiment I used a diecut tag that I hand stamped and a sweet fussy cut banner sentiment from Canvas Corps.  So what do you think?  Guaranteed to bring some sunshine to Mom?  I think so!
