A Boho Hello!

Hi Cheery Lynn peeps have you had time to play with any of the new releases?  They have been so much fun for me!  I went very CAS on this card.  Not my usual design style, but you got to try something different once and awhile right?

I used the Quatrefoil A2 frame die to use as my background.  I stayed very nuetral with all my colors and used the dies to add texture and interest.

I used the new Mandala Doily 2 Die set and layered it with the Feather 3 Die Set.
I love the feather die set....I can't wait to use them on a Thanksgiving Fall card !
Other than that I just added some simple ribbon and tied it to the side.  I added a simple greeting of Hello from the Bohemian word 5 die set.  love the font on it.
maybe I will try a few more CAS cards...I know these dies make it easy to do!

Well that is it for me!  Thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn blog today! Cherry

love mail

Middle of Winter and I am dreaming of chocolates, vivid shades of red, and all things lovey dovey.  If I can't have them....I can at least create them, right?  I created this project for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

I started out with the mini display tray heart .  I painted the top piece red.

From here I cut a piece of paper to fit behind the top piece and adhered the two together.

I than wound ribbon through the top to hang it from.

and tied my big chunky bows on both sides of the heart.

Start adding you embellishments...in my case I added the filigree frames that I covered in red glitter. I added my sweet main retro image of the little boy and dog.

from here I started adding cute embellishments and my sentiment faux typewriter keys that spell out love.

Here they are all spelled out.  Did you know you can ask Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts to create any word you would like?  How fun is that???

I also glittered up some gorgeous feathery flourish set pieces. I added two layered at bottom of love.

Well that is it....here it is all done up!!

Enjoy and thanks for visiting me!  Cherry

Happy Heart

(two posts today so scroll down to see the other project made for Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts)

Mid week folks...and my time over at the RRR blog.  I decided to play around with some of the gorgeous Cherry Blossom flowers that they have to offer.  I created two cards both using the flowers to shape hearts as my main focal point.

This one is done with yellows using some vintage wall paper that I fell in love with.  Interestedly enough I found it lining an old drawer of a table I was refinishing and painting.   I used white taffeta ribbon  which paired well with the cherry blossoms.

I nestled vintage buttons among the flowers for some old fashion appeal.

This little guy reminds me of my Dad when he was little....so sweet.

Here is my next card all in pinks.  I also nestled Bead berry spray clusters in gold among my flowers with this next card.

I used both baby pink and rose seam binding on this card and also added Theresa white crochet lace at the bottom of my card.

Well my friends ....I am done!  I hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Valentines and birthdays

Tuesdays are my favorite!  Why you ask?  "This is Us".  So happy to finally see a good family drama on the networks.  Anyone else?  Popping in with a couple of Valentines and birthday cards....great mix ey?  Valentines will come and go and I will never get these shared.

using chevron twill from RRR.  LOVE this ribbon.  Next card uses no ribbon....am I sick?  I don't know if I have ever done this.  lol.  Trying to flex my card muscles and go outside my comfort zone.

Using the twill again on this birthday card.  Great ribbon to have in your arsenal.  Is this party hat not the cutest?   I have been craving bright happy colors lately.  I think it is all this snow we have gotten this Winter.

Okay that is my share for the day.  Will be back tomorrow for a RRR and a Gypsy Soul project.  Double posting day for me!  Don't forget that I am more times than not over at INSTAGRAM.  That is my happy place

Don't be shy..

Thank goodness for the weekend folks!  I am off today to big town to get supplies. Another storm is suppose to make its way here.  Got a project to share. An oversize tag with this cute little guy.  I have used him before and just had to again.

He is a shy little guy sending off his love mail.....I used Cheery Lynn Dies and RRR ribbons of course.  I love this little mail box die!

I added some fun buttons, brads, and a cute banner sticker.   All in my fave colors of reds and aqua blues.   See his homies peeking over the fence???  Too cute.

Okay out the door I go!   Happy weekend, Cherry

Cheery Lynn Blog Hop Time

Hi there Cheery Lynn Peeps!  So excited to join my first CL blog hop today!  You should have found your way here from Lisa's  blog. We have some great new releases.....you are gonna be so excited when you see all the creations coming your way! The "Bohemian Collection" is truly gorgeous.   One random person who comments will win a 20.00 gift card to the Cheery Lynn store.

I started with this sweet and very simple card using the new Bohemian word set  and Mehndi botanicals 4 set ....covering my card stock in two pattern papers and die cutting my hello. Instead of using the diecut I used the negative cut for my sentiment.

I than added my ribbon all the way around my card and tied several bows.  From here I diecut my flowers and layered then with the leaves.  I used vintage wallpaper for the leaves and just love the pattern it added.

From there I simply added all the flowers and layered them....very simple, soft, and feminine.

Next up a soft, girly, and OHHHHH sooooo Groovy card!!!  I love it...and I love that word!

I used two pattern papers and cut my "Build a Paisley" diecut set out of a solid pink and layered it down...next I added my LOVE with some foam adhesive for dimension.

I diecut several of the mini hearts and peace signs and than sprinkled them out from top to bottom.  I added a few pink buttons...and some soft seam binding and was done.

I love it ....and can feel my boho chic coming out!!!

Thanks for stopping by you next stop is Bonnie'sfabby blog!

Birthday wishes

Hello Cheery Lynn Peeps!  Got another card for you today using several fantastic dies.  I created a fun birthday card.....perfect for a New Year birthday.  I used Birthday Wishes circle die for my sentiment and layered it on top of both the Birthday Cake shaker die set and the clock (steampunk)series set,

I added ribbons and mini gold sequins that I randomly placed here and there inside the cake die.

I just love all that dimension you get when you add foam adhesive and layer several of your dies up.

for a bit more interest I used the Quatrofoil A2 frame 2 die as my background paper.

Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop

Hello folks..almost mid way through January and it is time for a RRR blog hop!  Hope the new year is treating you well!  You should have made your way here from kathy's  beautiful blog.  If at any time you find yourself lost just make your way back to the RRR blog link above.  Here are this month's ribbons.

Here is my project a cute Valentine card.  All about the love and chocolates!  The best part of valentine's day is the candy right?

I used some fun diecuts from Cheery Lynn designs to shape my card..just layering my papers.

I carried the design inside the card as well with a bit of matching papers and ribbon.

Great way to use the last snippets of paper and ribbons.  I also used some Wild Orchid red berries to nestle inside my bow.

Well that is it for me....next stop for you is linsey's fab blog.  Have fun!  hugs, Cherry
