Feeling blue

and a little pink thrown in for good measure.  I know I am back again...and again.  But I had more to share.  Today I was fond of light greyish soft and shabby.  Just like the sky today!  Yes we saw sky and some hit 70...OHHHH the JOYYY!  I used many of my papers I hadn't seen for awhile...snippets of this and that...diecuts, vellum, and my stock of vintage buttons and buckles.   I NEVER tire of buttons...and know I never will.  That and stick pins.   Been using them for awhile...but do not tire of them.  LIke to stick them here and there....they just add that nostalgia I dearly love.  Well I hope you enjoy my abundant sharing.  I will be back again tomorrow..with my CupCards To Go post.  You will love this kit!  Off to watch hub tv and Doogie Howser.   LOVE the HUB!    hugs, cherry

EDITED TO ADD: You have asked about the stick pins....I bought regular stick pins in the wedding section at Michaels and than bought a set of beads in different sized to add to them.  I just simply use hot glue.  Very easy and less expensive than the ones in the scrapbook section!

Back again

Back again and def...seeing a theme here.   Trying so hard to harken Spring.  All my cards have that season down pat.  Today was warmer...I did not get cold while throwing the ball for Riley which was much appreciated.  The snow patches are diminishing and getting much smaller.  There is hope.  I had some "me" time this one here but me and the cats...oh and of course Riley.  I had the radio on and I was beebopping around my craft room.  It was nice.  Shhh yes I do dance a bit when home alone.  Don't tell anyone.   That is it for me this evening.  I have a book calling me....and my bed.  Hope you enjoy...I so appreciate your visits.  I will be back on the 1st to share my Cupcards creations with you. No more sneakies.    hugs, cherry

Spring shabbies...

Just a  few little projects tonight.  I wanted to share my altered bunny plaque with you...I need to do more of these.  I use to make altered plaques way more than cards..and than cards kinda captured  my heart..and well you know how that goes.  It is fun because they are generally larger which means possiblilities of more embellies and they are sturdier for heavier adornments.  Just so many projects and so little time.  The second project I used my mini tags again....doubled  them up and sooo gonna do that again.  Anything mini seems to steal my heart.  The image is from Crafty Secrets of course.   The last is another card...with another crafty secrets image.  It doesn't seem like lavender or purple are that popular right now...but I love it at Spring time..especially paired with a fresh green color.  Used a couple of antique faux rhinestone buttons from my stash because that angel image is worthy of it.  I love the serene vintage look to her.  I like to add chipboard sometimes to the back of my images.  It adds depth to the project and I like to distress around the edges and wear it away a bit and than ink.  I really like the appearance it gives.  Well that is it for me today.  I feel a bit down in the energy department.  The weather here still hasn't warmed up and I so need it too!  Hope you all have enjoyed your tuesdays!   Atleast it isn't monday anymore ey??   hugs, cherry

Peter cottontail...

He is a coming..... who can resist a cute bunny or old fashion images of children?  Not me.  Thought I would share a few cards I have made today...I am hooked line and sinker with my new tiny tags diecut and can't stop using it.   Also been having fun using sheer ribbons mixed with  my seambinding.  I have been tea staining the sheer ribbons and love the subtle aging they get from the tea.    This is it for me tonight...nuttin clever to share word wise.  I am off to share some cuddle time with my family....last night of spring break.  Boo hoo!  hugs, cherry

I love cards that offer up encouragement or remind us to celebrate and take life for the gift it is!  OHHH how I forget that all to often!   Have you all seen those commercials on tv...encouragement...pass it on?  Some may think they are hokey...but I love them.   With all these reality shows on..we have no shows anymore that share life lessons.  I sorely miss those shows.  I have enjoyed watching reruns of Little house on the Prairie and so many others...I have rediscovered "the Wonder Years" and my son and I enjoy watching it together every evening.    I love being able to learn something along with my child...together...being encouraged and feeling nostalgia over the first time I saw these shows as a child.  Kinda cool!
I again used a sweet image from Crafty Secrets "little blessings"..  I also used their stamp set Angel Blessings for my sentiments in case you would love to do a little shopping for yourself!  I love the simple religious sentiments in this set!  Well my dears...I have to go put together a dinner...where did the evening go?     hugs to you all, cherry
