The Queen Bee's Birthday

Hello to you!  I have a tutorial today made for RRR!  I am also excited to share that I am staying on for another term with RRR!  I love working with Bonnie and the girls! So excited! Make sure to go check out the new additions to the team as well.
I decided to create an extra special birthday card along with a gussied up envelope.   It is always fun to make some one feel extra loved on their day.
I started with my card and stamped some French style bee images from Crafty Secrets Queen Bee set along the bottom of the card and envelope. I than colored some of my images in with a soft pink Tim Holtz distress marker.  From there it was time to pick some papers and adhere along with adding a few diecut borders.  I decided to add some Catherine white lace along the bottom half of card to soften it up a bit.  Once done with that I picked out some May arts fleur de lis  ribbon.  It is the center point of the card and I made sure when tying my knot that the fleur de lis were standing up right.  I tied my bow and than added another to the top.  I also added this ribbon to my envelope as a border and bow.  I used scor-tape for the fleur de lis border.  It adheres the ribbon well and allows for a nice smooth finish.  I of course HAD to add a bit of seam binding as well.  I added Baby pink seam binding that I crickled.
It was time to add some bits and bobs...I topped the card off with a tag and a gorgeous Prima wood button.  The envelope had to have a little more as well so I added a metal key along with a  birthday tag and a pink lovely tag for fun.  Soft, feminine, and oh so French!  Hope you enjoy

Red and moss green....

Ok...so it is not Christmas yet and Halloween hasn't come even.  Sooo sue me!  I can't help it when I have cute images and crickley yummy seam bindings calling to me.  I used red along with moss green seam bindings which I mixed together in both projects.   Love the mix of these two colors, especially for Christmas projects.   I backed both my images with corrugated chipboard.  I love to do this and than stitch around them. It creates a nice chunky look that I can sand and distress the edges with out harming the paper.  I used a combination of papers from October Afternoon, Echo Park, and Vintage Street Market.  Some fun Washi tape was used on my kitschy card.  Great way to spoof up a card and add texture.  Hope you enjoy and it is not too early to share with you!  hugs, cherry

Hello there peeps!  You should have made your way here from Miss. Ginny's gorgeous blog!  It's time for the monthly blog hop with RRR!  I am head over heels in love with this month's assortment.  Gorgeous bright holiday colors that remind me of Christmas candy.   I made several fun projects this time around.  A mini card set and some fun tags.  I used some older Cosmo cricket holiday goodies that paired perfectly with the ribbon collection.   My papers are K & Company.   Love them....older collection again that I kinda just rediscovered.  Well hope you enjoy!  You should be off to Miss. Heather's blog now.   Can't wait to check everyone's goodies out!  Have fun, cherry

autumn wishes

Hi there!  Got some fun little fall tags to share today for RRR.   Again using my spell binder dies, I just did a heap of layering.  I used stamps from Wplus9 and Purple Onion.  I love prim or country style stamps...I never tire of them.  To me they never go out of style.  I mixed it up with my ribbons using 3/8 red gingham, blue denim ribbon, and 3/8 blue gingham.   I also used the Jute string in light blue .  This would be cute as a little hostess gift for Thanksgiving or change them up for place cards!  Enjoy, Cherry

OK.....so that is JUST what I had when creating these cards!  It is time to share the 2013 Fall kit from Cupcards to Go...what a Hoot! This kit celebrates CupCards To Go 5th Anniversary!   Yep.. 5 years of gorgeous kits.  Now that is something to celebrate!   This kit is full of Autumn goodness!  I love the yummy warm Fall colors of all the papers and embellies.    Reminds me of the colors of nature this time of year and bundling up in front of a fire.  Just simply cozy!  Our guest this month is THE Teri Anderson.  So excited to see all the creations the ladies came up with!  Make sure to check them out!  Hugs, cherry

Halloween time!

Hi and hello!  It's October 1st which means Halloween time is around the corner!  I created this plaque for Really Reasonable Ribbon .   Our challenge for the first of the month is to create something with a Halloween/Fall theme.  I never need prompting to create for holidays!  I used a sizzix diecut to create my sign frame.  Covered it with fun polka dot papers from October Afternoon from many moons ago.  It is always such fun to create a story when creating.  I can just imagine the little girl peeking around a corner thinking she sees a spookem...because after all it is Halloween time!  Of course that is why I added the metal pocket watch to signify the holiday.  I used a graphic 45 image along with a glittered library plate from Making memories.  I wish they were still around.  The ribbons I used are seam binding in burnt rust and black.  I added a few little bits and baubles....it's all in the details!  Well that is it for me.  Check out the other girl's creations...they are gorgeous!   hugs, cherry
