A Little Corner of My World...

It is snowing like crazy outside & I think I may have a bit of cabin fever! They called school off today as well so it is reruns of "Sponge Bob" here at the Nelson Household. No Martha or hgtv for me! I played around a bit with this little area of my armoire. Yesterday I decided to paint my ole Rooster lamp red. I was tired of his original plumage. In looking at everything I realize he is the only thing I bought new. Everything else is either a garage sale or thrift find. The old crochet/knitting needles are a fun touch of whimsy....no I don't crochet or knit...YET. I was attracted to their bright colors and thought it was cool to think of how they were once used in a creative project. They remind me of those bright aluminum cups that many had back in the day. I use to always pick those cups to drink from at my grandparents house. Please humor me if I have written to much!

Hi Cherry - I'm so glad to meet you. Thank you for visiting my blog today and leaving a nice comment. I see that you are new to blogging too. Isn't if fun! I tell you, the joy I have gotten from the blogging I have been doing can't be measured. It's only been about 4 weeks since I started visiting blogs, and about 2 or so weeks since I started my own blog. In that short period I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. I'll add you to my blogs list so I can check in with you often :o)

Pretty treasures! And I know what it's like being cooped up with children who'd rather be outside playing... too much SpongeBob and not enough Mommy-TV! =)
