My favorite four letter word........

HOME! I have to say it....cliche or not. Being away from one's home and family really makes you appreciate it. One's bed...made or not.. was a sight for sore eyes! I can't explain the excitement I felt when I was finally on the home stretch....the road leading into our neighborhood. My dh and son made me welcome home signs that were the perfect combination of corny and sweet. The trip itself was an experience ...a whirlwind one. Most of what I saw was from a window. I at least know some of the states I would love to go back too. I thought Tennessee and Kentucky were gorgeous. As was Pennsylavania. I was so excited when I got a chance to see an Amish buggy! You would have thought I had seen a rock star with all the screaming I was producing. I have been home since Oct. 18th but playing catch up and than coming down sick kept me away for awhile. I am glad to report all is well and am so excited to come around and catch-up with all of you! I never got around to posting my Halloween pics...but thought I would share a few general Fall things around the house. I puttered around a bit last night moving things here and there & thought I would share that as well. Missed sooo many of you! xoxo, cherry

Cherry I missed you!! I can't believe that I didn't see your post on Saturday. I barely checked blogs yesterday as I wasn't home for most of the day so I will read your one from yesterday in a minute. I was getting very worried honey. I knew you weren't supposed to be gone for as long as you were. I'm so glad that you're home safe and sound and that you had a marvelous albeit busy trip. I love the pictures. I have a "Welcome" hanging tin just like your Autumn one that I got at Goodwill.

Whew - I really rambled there. But I can't tell you how relieved I am. The worrier in me was convinced some catastrophic episode had happened. Welcome back, baby!!

Love,
Julie

I wondered why you hadn't posted for so long. Glad you were traveling and not ill. Also glad that you thought my state of PA was beautiful. Did you see the Amish buggy in PA or Ohio? I guess it's something we take for granted around here. Thanks for stopping by and your sweet comments. Let's get together again, soon.

Yes, there's no place like home! Welcome back. I remember when I visited the Amish community after a business trip. It was such a thrill. Seeing that first buggy was so exciting to me, too.

Your fall decorations are wonderful. You have such a neat touch with things. I love to stop by and visit.

Thanks for stopping in at my blog and for leaving your sweet comment. Please come back again. The welcome mat is always out.
