Still pluggin away!!!

Having some fun with it too! Listening to Doris Day's rendition of "Toy land" humming along. No baaaaaaaahumbug here! Got up early and went to our local St. Vinnies (today was 50% off everything in store). Lucky enough to find two teacup sets(6 pieces) of the Johnson Bro. Merry Christmas for 10.00 & the milk glass type dinner dishes with the hollyberry for 4.00. There was 5 each of bowls, saucers, etc. So that made me happy as a clam. In looking at my dish rack I soooo wish I had a lovely distressed white instead of wood. The wood is not me. Ahhh someday.... Now to finish the hutch off and get to the kitchen nook and crannies. I don't know what it is but I love to decorate my kitchen for Christmas. I try to leave a lot of the normal stuff out and foof it up...so I don't have to pack it UP. Well enough said for now! Hope all is well with everyone and thanks for the nice comments....I enjoy reading each and everyone! xoxo, cherry

I started pluggin away today. Why every year do I say I don't have enough. I made these vintage santa wreaths today. They revolved around a .69 vintage santa i found at a local party store. We have this great craft/decorating/party store that has been in business I don't know how long. I used to go with my Mom to the store downtown. I go now and it is like a dream! All kinds of stuff! I will post pictures sometime, if I ever get done!

I'd say your decorating is coming along nicely. Love you finds from the local St. Vinne's...LOL, I've never heard it called that. I'm taking my time with the Christmas "stuff." I think next week I;ll ge around to it.

I am just starting myself but YOU are one of my best inspirations! Your home is so pretty in all seasons but oh how special it is now! I love your chandelier. The greenery and those wonderful old spoons!! Amazing!
I did that once when we lived in VA. It looks so good.
I bought a chandelier for our kitchen awhile ago and had hoped it would be up by now...I wanted to decorate it!
Maybe if I needle Bill a little...or MAYBE I should learn to do it myself!

I hate to pack everything away so like to play with what I already have out too. Things take on a new look all spruced up for the holidays!

I have really enjoyed seeing what you have done so far! You have such a gift!

Hugs,
Sue

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your banner. I'm a lover of and drawn to red and white.

I passed up a set of the holly dishes at an antique store a while back. I wish I had bought them now. *sigh*

You just gave me a great idea...my Hubby has a fork that used to be his Grandma's (who is no longer with us) and it's been in rotation until recently....I think I am going to tie a ribbon on it and give it a place of honor.....
Blessings,
Robin

Hi -- I came to your site from someone elses and was amazed to see the holly plates -- I found that same set at an antique store a few years ago and bought the plates, salad plates, cups and saucers -- I love them. I enjoyed visiting your site -- hope you don't mind me browsing.
