Red scale 15.00 ...early Valentine gift from my Mom...I have always wanted a red scale..but they have been spendy....this was worth the wait.
Square wreath with fruit..2.00! Will hang with some toile ribbon from mirror.
Milk glass urn piece 3.00....will fill with my stamps.
Vintage cherries...1.00! Of course I HAD to have these.
Little mini frames in varied colors...a dollar!
Project #1
Project #2
Project #3
I have been away for a bit because of a heavy heart....I just have not felt like blogging. Some horrible things have come to pass in the past week. I can't go any further with out saying I have felt such sorrow for our friend Becky over at http://sweetcottagedreams.blogspot.com/ . I am sure many of you know she lost her son last week. I just don't understand why these things happen but I know that it brings me closer to my faith when they do. Sure makes you realize your REALLY not in control of your future or those you love. It is all up to the grace of God when he decides to bring you home. If you have not done so yet...please go and say a prayer for Becky and her family right now. Keep her in your thoughts and your heart.

Also I discovered today that this family http://themcclenahans.blogspot.com/ also is in need of prayers , their sweet baby girl Cora died of cancer. I am not familiar with the family but felt sooo touched by their story. So please go visit them and say some prayers.....there are some broken hearts out there that need some healing.
I have a few finds to share tonight and a few projects. Of course two of them involve paper...what a surprise..right? HA! A little crown frame I did...wrapped with Cherry paper. The little colorful frames were found in the dollar section of Michaels. I used one of my rubber stamps and did a crown and just framed it. Simple dimple. The last one...was a bit harder. I painted harlequins on an old bulletin board I found while thrifting . It cost me 2.00 so I was not afraid to try something different with it. I painted the cork white first, than drew my lines for the diamonds...(measuring of course) , and painted inside the line with some left over red. It did not come out perfect but works for now. For the cost of 2.00 and paint that was just lying around I have a new look. Soooo I think that is it for me tonight. I hope to get to visit many of you soon....I am behind...again! xoxo, cherry

you always have the cutest stuff!
where on earth did you find those mini frames?! i LOVE them!!!
fabulous you!
As always such wonderful ideas. And cute to boot.
Loss is hard. What a kind friend you are to "mourn with those that mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort". One of my FAVORITE scriptures is...
"Be still, and know that I am God". I've needed to remind myself that many times.
Have a good day.

beautiful as always, love those frames, hugs, lisa
Your projects look great. I too have a heavy heart for both families. I have been following their blogs. I have not left a comment on either site yet, waiting til I have some time away from work and family. We too, lost a child 12 years ago this past December. They will both have a long road ahead and God's grace and mercy is abundant. It is just hard to comment without me turning into a blubbering idiot and it takes me back to those painful days of losing Jess. I will comment soon and hopefully be able to encourage them both as well. Thank you for keeping both families in your prayers, that is exactly what they need.
Blessings~

I love all of your projects, but I have to say the bulletin board ROCKS! And I have crowns on the brain lately, can't get enough. My heart has been heavy as well, there has been too much tragedy in blog world lately. I had also heard about baby Cora and now this young man, I will pray for his family as well. I also wanted to let you know that I have been on a thyroid supplement called thyroid essentials at www.healthychoicenaturals.com. Love it! All in all it feels good to be back among my blogger friends...I've missed ya!
Thank you for pointing us to those two blogs~I can't imagine their losses and my prayers are on their way.
You have some wonderful finds there~wow! Can I come to your thrift store??
Been praying for these families...that the Peace that passes all understanding will surround them and comfort them.
You found some really great things! I especially love the corkboard!! Too cute!
Blessings,
Stacey
Love all of the projects! I love that red scale!
Fun projects...thanks for sharing. I have been thinking about those families as well.
Great finds! Love those little picture frames and the vintage cherries! Harlequins are hard to paint - I found a stencil a while back on clearance and snatched it up! I try to use that but it's only one size so it doesn't always work.
Manuela
So, so sad about our fellow bloggers. It's something that is almost unimaginable. We'll be thinking of them through this time.
I really love all your goodies. Your Valentine's Day scale gift is wonderful! Great job on the bulletin board too.
Candy
I guess that's what this life's about. We all have our trials and how we deal with them and help each other is our test. That being said, I can not even imagine the pain of losing a child. I hope Becky and her family will be able to feel our love and be uplifted in some way.
I did get my package from you yesterday and I LOVE the heart. So perfect for my house. You got it exactly right. And thank you, too for the other little heart plaque. It's so sweet, just like you. Mimi
I NEED that scale! LOVE IT!
I think I may use those same little frames from Michael's as favors for a shower I'm hosting next week!!
Cherry ,yes we cannot understand such loss - but prayers availeth much - Thank you dear friend --

Love the bullentin board...Adorable.
I just recently ran across Cora's story. I breaks my heart.
Hi Cherry girl, yes it does seem that we bloggers must pull together, pray and be a strength to those who need it the most. Your blog is always uplifting and always a joy to visit. You are a very good neighbor with a heart of compassion. That is what makes you special. Also your strong faith is encouraging.
Blessings,
Debbie
I love the little frames and your bulletin board turned out fantastic! And I really love that little square wreath...too cute! I had read the news about Becky on her blog and my heart broke for her.

That's the thing about blogging, it opens up the world to you. You read of more sorrow and pain, but also more joy and happiness. Best of all you begin to understand that there are so, so many good and faithful and prayerful people and it brings you such comfort. Thanks for being one of those who are good and faithful and prayerful!
And, you know how I always love seeing your latest finds and creations! I'm lovin' that cute red scale, of course.
I read about little Cora and her family last week. I have never met them but I felt such sorrow and pain in my heart for the painful process that they went through while their baby was sick and then to loose her...oh...my heart just hurts for them. Our church is doing a series called "30 days to live" and talks about living for the Lord daily and rejoicing in the time that He gives us. I have been hugging my babies a lot this past week and praising God for another day with them.
Thanks for sharing your heart and your creative ideas. Love all your cute finds. The little frames are so sweet:)
I love all the projects you've been doing! The cherries plaque thingy is really cute, you make me want to turn my kitchen red LOL! I do have that exact same scale, which I had originally bought as a resale, but, no, I couldn't part with it now! You have a nice mom! This seems to be heavy-heart season, but I think when we bear each other's burdens, the load is lighter. Have a great week! Karen
Everything's so pretty - my favorite is the red scale and also the wreath. I've always loved square wreaths - what a great find!
Love your projects, they always give me ideas of what I can do here...LOVE the red scale-So perfect.
I also understand the heavy heart-I can't imagine losing one of my little boys. I know we have to trust Gods plan, but sometimes it is hard.
Lovely, lovely, lovely...and that bulletin board is amazing! Love the colors.
great thrift store finds ! I love what you did to the memo board!
You always come up with the neatest things. I love your bulletin board., very unique. The red scale is a find as are your other goodies.
It is hard to imagine how hard it is to loose a child, no matter the age. Prayers do work wonders.

Love the red bulletin board....hmmmm wonder why..hahaha.
I have been following the Mac's blog since they found out about Cora, and just cried my eyes out when I found out.
It truly has been a sad time for so many in the blogging community. It breaks my heart. But you're right, things like that just draw me so deeper into my faith. It's the only real grounding that I have in life.
I loved all your projects...as usual but particularly loved your bulletin board. I have one sitting on my coffee table right now, the cork painted white and just not sure what to do with it. I really like your diamonds. They are a bit of inspiration for me. I may try a painting technique like that. Thanks Cherry!
Wow! What great finds and neat projects.

Wow your rocking the bargain's lately! Love the scale and mini photo frames. I want some of those mini frames.... Seriously!
I feel your heaviness of heart. I received a call from my daughter that their good friends from college have a little neice who died from cancer this week. I wonder if it is the same people. If it is or not, one still feels that deep sadness for others. But, despite that dear friend, you continue to share your amazing dose of creativity, and for that I am so very thankful. Beautiful post!!
What fun projects!
I. want. that. scale!!!! What a gem, in red!
I love those little red, black and white frames. Did you paint those?
I am praying for your two friends and heading over to visit their websites now.
Hugs.

I am having a ball reading through our posts..you have so many wonderfully creative ideas that just inspire me. It has been a sad few weeks in blogland..there are so many families hurting with the loss of their children, their homes, their jobs....it has made me hug my children a little tighter and thank God for all of the blessings he has provided for us. You never know when you could be in their shoes...Thank you for such lovely comments you left for me. I will be back to visit!
It does seem like the little Blogland that I visit has had more than its share of sadness lately. God is hearing a lot from me and I know from others in Blogland. I pray that He will wrap His arms around these hurting people, and let them know they are being kept in a lot of people's prayers. laurie

I have been praying for Becky and Baby Cora's family as well. Lot's of sad stories out there. All we can do is have faith, give love and carry on.
As to your finds and projects, I always visit for inspiration and love everything you do. The bulletin board is fabulous, you are a genius! I, on the other hand, am not as I just gave one like it to Good Will because of my lack of vision. I may have to buy it back! Tee Hee, Pam
GREAT POST!!! Such awesome projects that I am going to try to copy! I saw those cute little dollar frames the other day at Michaels, but didn't get any. Now I am going to go back and buy several. I love the idea of putting a stamped piece of paper in them. My favorite thing you showed is probably the harlequin corkboard. LOOOVE IT!!!
WOW! You are so creative and precious on the inside...I am so glad I found your amazing blog! I have really enjoyed it!
