Can a paint color enhance your sleep???

BEFOREAFTER

I certainly think it can! I have been sleeping quite peacefully since repainting. I thought I would pop in with some pics of the on going master redo......so you wouldn't think it was a figment of my imagination. With Summer in full swing...I have mostly been working on it at night....and than of course it is too dark to take pics...soooo today I snapped some of what has gotten done. I moved my hall mirror in here..it was silver and I painted it white. I may glaze it.....not sure. As I said a before I moved our big --- Spanish armoire in here too...it fits this space well. I still need to put several more coats on it and glaze it. I got the two major FAUX Roman shades done......luckily we have quite a bit of privacy.....so not in a hurry with the side lights. Today I got the wall of flowers done......will show more of it later. I ran out of light. I have been hanging pics and sorting thorough what stays and goes...(getting ready for a garage sale)... I have been collecting these old shoe polish brushes LOVE THEIR OLD PATINA YUMMMMMMY.......I came up with this idea to slide a pic into one. That is my grand mother Gardy when she was a wee one. Been enjoying all the little details you put into a room.....that is the fun part! OHHHHHh and as you can see CALVINI WHODINI.....HAS YET AGAIN MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE MY BED! Well there is your proof in the pudding.......hopefully I will share more over the weekend! I am off to watch "Confessions of a Shopalohic". XoXo, cherry

Love the color and all of your pretty things. I am so tired of the color in my master bedroom, but still have a few rooms to paint before that one gets a new color.

Your room looks great so far- can't wait to see it all finished. Looks like you have a vaulted ceiling, too, which gives me trouble in my own bedroom.

The paint color is wonderful and so are your treasures you displayed. I would have never thought about displaying a photo in an old brush. You always have the best ideas. I do use the old flower frogs to display postcards and photos. I love your suitcases and old prints. You still do such "GOOD" work cherry. Have a fantastic weekend.

Visiting your blog and seeing the befores and the afters, gives me as much joy as opening one of my favorite new magazines. I do think the color of the room can help determine a good nights sleep. I like the color you chose. I look forward to seeing the finished room...because I like the way you decorate.

Love the buttercream color, the shades, and the little green accent above them.

You've inspired me to repaint my little boy's room a similar shade of green as your boy's room. Maybe he'll sleep even more peacefully?!

So tranquil! I love it! We share a love of baskets, straw hats, and white plates! Also, I have the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady AND the big bird (a partridge?) sitting next to it (only mine needs to be painted - a project for later!) Thought that was pretty neat, hehe!

I love all of the details you have in your room. Your faux roman shadesare fantastic!!! I instantly fell in love when I saw them. Did you make them? I really like the picture slipped into the brush! I also love your bedding- the yellow floral....would you mind sharing where you got it? I have been looking for something similar for months and haven't been able to find it. May have to make my own. Ugh.
