Hello......it is my day at RRR. I am sure you all are busy, busy, busy with family gatherings, eating good foods, and unwrapping presents. I have two cards to share to kick off a more Wintery theme....and I also had to sneek in my first Valentine card. I used 1.5 inch Antique gold gingham on my first card. My second card I used Strawberry glaze seam binding. Well that is it for me.....gonna spend all the time I can today with the ones I love! Merry Christmas! Cherry

Vintage Street blog hop
HI there popping in to share a project I made for the Vintage Street Market blog hop.
Have you checked out Michelle's fab projects...like her Christmas advent calander? It is adorable. I thought I would share a few of my holiday corners all decked out with fun goodies from years past. Things that make me smile...especially the snowman lamp given by my Mama. You will see lots of red...vintage santa mugs piled high.....jingle bells, old china plates. I like to use everyday things mixed in with my Holiday goodies. Of course I couldn't share with out showing a project. I found this little paper mache house all ready painted...I gave it a big helping of faux snow and mica glitter...I added one of my rusty mini jello molds filled with tiny berries with a mini tag nestled inside. I just love the little details like that...don't you? I added gorgeous flowers on top and a mini grapevine framing Santa...I added ribbons around the bottom as well. I love how it turned out . I wish I could live in my little cottage.....sigh. Ohhhh well it got a good home.....my customer is very happy with it! Hugs to you....and Merry Christmas!!!

Winter wonderland...
I am back... and just in the nick of time....we were without electricity for awhile. I am sure you can see why in the pictures I am sharing.........just a wee bit of snow. Now it is just getting plain c-----old so it won't be melting anytime soon. Yesterday was spent with three good ole fashion shovels digging our way out. The first pic is of my car. We were lucky though...some were and still are without lights and water. Our dog Riley is having the time of his life though...he loves it.
I got to spend a few hours today working in the craft room....warm and toasty. NO SNOW shoveling today. I broke out some Wintery blues and had fun creating these for RRR. For the last several years I have enjoyed creating "Winter theme" cards...guaranteed to keep the doldrums at bay lol. Even though Christmas is not quite here it always seems rather sad when the decorations need to be packed away for another year. So why not create a few Winter greetings to bring a smile to someone's face? A nice buffer between Christmas and Valentines. I used papers from graphic 45, Pretty Little Studio, and Echo Park. Most of my stickers etc are also Echo Park. I used ribbons from the "beautiful blues" ribbon assortment, which if you missed it were our ribbon club selections this month. I also added Sandra white crochet lace and open roses in white, along with white magnolias. Well that is it for me.....I will be back with a post on Friday for Vintage Street Market. Michelle got a couple of us together to share some Christmas goodies!

RRR blog hop time!!!
Hey guys up for another hop? It is just a holiday hopping week! You should have found your way here from Leslie's blog. If at anytime you find yourself lost, you can always go back to the RRR blog. Now I have always loved blues for Christmas...and paired with red? Paired with silver? You just can't go wrong! This month's ribbons just rock....plain and simple.
My first project is a lovely ornament with beading (was actually made for a family photo in the middle) that I layered snowflakes and the sweetest vintage pair of skates...they are old and have been on many a tree in their time. I added Wild Orchid Craft Magnolias with vintage button centers for softness. I topped my ribbon bows off with a vintage jingle bell and silver berries.
My other creation is a card using the darker blues in the ribbon collection. I used older Graphic 45 and paper from Hobby Lobby. My postage stickers and borders are Martha Stewart. To keep my "Postage Santa" theme going I added the cutest little mailbox charm to my ribbons along with berries and vintage white glitter stems. Ok folks that is it for me....your next stop is back at the RRR blog. Enjoy! Hugs, Cherry

Visions of Sugar plums day three!!!
Well folks...it is the third and final day of the Visions of Sugar Plums blog hop. I have had so much fun and hope you did too! I want to thank Lori for letting me tag along. I have discovered new to me blogs and so much inspiration! I think we have all made some new friends.
Now remember to comment on all the blogs for a chance to win all the awesome prizes from the sponsors. Also we would love to have you join in the challenge...you can do so here.
My two projects were so fun to make and I am really gonna be sad to see Christmas come and go yet again. I have really enjoyed making my mason jar lid ornaments and this is one of my favorites. I fussy cut a sweet retro bird image (love that cute sentiment) and added a lot of dimension with foam adhesive, tinsel, ribbons from RRR, and lots of little berries and jingle bells. My other project is pure whimsy.....I used papers/stickers from October Afternoon and Raspberry road. I found the fence at a second hand store. I painted it and added faux snow for detail. I love finding lost and forgotten little things and giving them a home in my art. Well...I am sad to say that is it for me today. Enjoy all the creations out there! Hugs, cherry
