Easter Greetings

Hi there peeps! Hope your weekend is going well.  My day over at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog.  I have a cute Easter card to share today.  The dies I used are a must have for Easter crafting.

I started with covering my card stock with some pattern paper and layered it with the Quatrefoil A2 Frame die.  This die is a go to for me.  It can really set the mood for a card.  Either very simple and casual or can be added to a card for more depth and texture.

I than added my ribbon and made my big loopy bow.  From here the Nesting Dolls Tags 2 5 piece set was used for more interest.  I hand cut a little banner and stamped my tag.  I die cut the Bunnies and added foam adhesive for dimension.  From here I added my flowers.  Using both the Gardenias and the sweet Christine flowers.

Well that is it for me folks!  Happy weekend!  Cherry

Altered Rabbit Molds

Hi guys!  My day over at the RRR blog.  I got some cute Easter ornaments for you today.

I used vintage jello molds that had these rabbits on them.  I painted them with chalk paint and distressed them up for a worn appearance with a sanding block and ink.  After that I sprinkled some white glitter on them.

I stitched up some crepe paper fringe and adhered it to the edges along with some pom pom fringe.

I topped each one off with stamped banners and burlap flowers.

These are perfect for an Easter Tree...or could be used in an Easter basket or on a Spring wreath.

Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Spool bird houses

Hi there!  It is my day over at the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Blog.  Every time I work with their products I truly fall in love.  These little Tiny bird houses are just so sweet.  I assembled three of them and paired them with vintage wooden spools.

Each one was painted with red chalk paint and distressed and inked.  I than added some pattern papers to the roofs.  Great way to use up those little paper scraps we just can't part with.

I wound each spool with twine and added Flower Stackers  to the base of each one.  Little banners were cut and hand-stamped with sweet sentiments and added to the spools with stick pins.

I also stacked them and added them to the roof of each bird house.  They were painted with white chalk paint.

I also added plates from the  Keys and Plates set.

A few red buttons were added and I was done.  I hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

St. Patties Day

Hi guys!  Thought I better share these before March gets here and is gone!  Just a couple of fun St. Patties cards.

I used RRR ribbons and  some Cheery Lynn Diecuts to create these cards.

This one was fun to make, I turned a nesting die into a shaker card using some acetate.

Shaker die cards can be a bit of work but so worth it in the end.  I added confetti and a mini luck diecut inside along with an image.

Well that is it for me.....hugs, Cherry

thinking of you bee card

Hi there Cheery Lynn Peeps.  My day over at the blog.  I have a cute little card for you today.  I think if I make enough Spring /Summer cards the warmer seasons will magically appear.  Isn't that how it works?

Isn't this Bee die cute?  I love him.  I cut him out twice and layered him for a shadow effect.

I layered him on pattern papers and a Honey comb lattice die.

I added back in a few of the "honeycombs" for fun.  I than added washi tapes and my thinking of you sentiment that I backed with black to make it pop.  Very easy fun card to create to give to someone special!  Thanks for visiting, Cherry

birthdays are for the birds

I have a fun whimsical tag up on the Gypsy Laser Cuts blog today.  As we all get older birthdays come and go....and some can come and go with out me knowing.  I don't want anymore!  lol.  So this is what I came up with using the mini bird houses

I assembled each little house and than painted them grey.  I than sanded and distressed edges for fun.  They were the main attraction so all I added was some buttons, ribbons, a vintage rhinestone button at the top.  Perfect little tag to tie to a special someones gift!!!

Dreams

Happy Super Bowl Sunday.  I will be quick here..don't want to distract anyone from the guacamole dip.  My day at the RRR blog.  I have two feel good cards to share.

Both to do with following your path.  Been thinking a lot about that in the new year.  I hope to direct myself more deliberately towards my dreams.   Allowing myself more time to walk that path.

Love the bright happy colors in these cards.  I used this wonderful orange and white stripe ribbon.  That I have just fallen in love with.  I usually don't gravitate towards orange.  Loving it right now.

Well folks that is it for me!  Hugs, Cherry

RRR challenge is up

Hi folks!  Today we get to share the new challenge for RRR.   The challenge this time around is a heart theme with ribbon.  Which is pretty easy, especially this time of the year.  Valentine's is just around the corner.   I created two sets of mini cards.  Great way to use smaller scraps, unloved diecuts that didn't make it into a bigger projects, etc. and just have fun finding homes for it all.  Here is my first set using baby pink seam binding.  I also used red lipstick seam binding.  These little sweet cards each have a hand painted tulip flower button.  I tied them all up together with twine tied with a mini handmade tag.  Such a sweet way to make a few fast stationary cards to tuck away till you need it.

The next to mini cards are for thank yous.  I used a gold and pink color combination.

I created my hearts from vintage pipe cleaner....they shaped the sweetest little hearts.  So whimsical.

I also tied these once they were done with twines and a mini vellum tag.

I used Pink Aster seam binding on both of these cards.

Here they are all together nestled in a milk glass bowl.   Enjoy folks and please join us for the challenge.  cherry
