Sweet Summer.......

Been working out on my porch and in my new flower beds. Wanted to share a few pics of this and that and the other! The bird house is glued to an old shovel. I use the vintage ironing board to pot plants. So much fun in the summer time! cherry

I am struggling with juggling.......

I have recently gone to work for a dentist office and still at work/play at the Scrapbook store from time to time so my computer and I don't see each other much anymore. I know... "cry me a river"....right? Many of you out there doing the same thing day after day. God Bless you all! I am struggling with juggling my job, family, excercise, keeping up housework, and my beloved crafts. I have been blessed with being able to stay home with my son but with him getting older I felt I needed to get back out to the working world. I miss posting too sooo many other blogs that I love and adore! Anyone checking in......I am still alive! Anyone with any great tips on managing time? I thought I would at least post a few around the house shots. Recently got the little tweety bird at a store on the coast and the little antique blocks came from a little antique shop. I hope to get outside soon to play in the dirt. Our weather here has been VERY fickle. Hope to post to many of you soon! xoxo, cherry

A Love Affair with ribbon.............

Sorry for not posting more often.....life gets in the way! I wanted to share a few "ribbon inspired" projects. My affair with ribbons dates back to my girl-hood. Remember the metal barrets that were all the rage that you gussied up with ribbons? You can never have enough ribbon really. It is such a versatile crafty acccessory! I use it for sewing, decorating, decoupage.... and now scrapbooking of course. The totes are a project done at my fave scrapbook store..."The Scrapbook Nook". Great way to use up all your little tidbits of ribbon. If that project doesn't shout girly.....I don't know what does. The metal atrium type container I decided to use unconventionally .....poked a dowel through my ribbons and placed them inside. Perfect home for them...just snip off what I need..whoilaaaaaaaa! You can have diamonds.......ribbons are a girl's bestfriend! xoxo, cherry

Spring Time Goodness!

Here is my one and only area of Easter decor! Found the chalkware duckies last week thrifting. Tomorrow is the first day of Spring...such a wonderful time for renewal of all things. I am feeling the Spring Time Love! cherry

Princess & the Pea and other pillow talk.....

Finely got around to taking some pics of our bed painted. This bed is mammoth! I have to have a bench in order to get up into it. This bed is not for a pregnant lady! While it may sound silly(humor me) I feel so princess and the pea.........and downright safe in this bed! It is high, lofty, and soft! This is the bed that you turn to in all times of trouble......and sickness. (My son always wants to sleep in it when he is sick.) This is that place for kicking back with the latest decorating mags or novel & relishing EVERY creature comfort! Of course we have the pillows for softy goodness ...(I wanted to share my two new ones in picture that I just got done sewing from two towels I found thrifting.) The pillows make the bed....right ladies? It is the pillows that we sink into and give out that requisite sigh.....that says it is now time for rest & relaxation ! A time to nurture ourselves for a bit! This bed is all that...... enveloping and welcoming...and I wouldn't want it any other way! We all need that "safe haven" from time to time and well this is def. mine! xoxo, cherry

My new "create" room!

Wanted to share my new space for scrapbooking and crafting! This is a new desk and hutch (got hutch for 10.00 at Goodwill a yr. ago)! I have switched rooms with my dh. He never uses this room and it is larger than our other spare room. Soooooooo he gets to move all his lovely elk & deer to the room next door.....all the manly things! This is gonna be fun to transform! I plan on painting the back (beadboard) red for some pop! I may move our daybed in here OR I might not! rofl! xoxo, cherry
