Hopefully fashionably late...rofl. We did not get back till late last night. So here are a few of my NOT black paint projects for .............. http://joysofhome.blogspot.com/ Paint outside the black box party. For your viewing pleasure we have banner red, apple green, and sky blue. All of these were fun colors to use and I heartily reco. them all. I painted a fleur de lis red, a finial green....both of these had been black. Had to throw in my new little "no place like home" sign I got at Homegoods while on vacation. I had this little wooden type tray and went red with it and sat my pears on it. I got this old Chinese water jug at an estate sale last year....it was lavender and beat up. I spray painted it the sky blue and decoupaged paper and ribbon to it. I also spray painted the little rosette plaque..it had been white. That is a new bird that I had to add to my bird family....love it. I threw in the red birds...I painted those over a year ago...they had been a nasty gold with diamond eyes...!!!!!! And just to prove I am a rebel( James Dean doesn't have nuttin on me)......I sprayed an Avon Eiffel tower glass perfume bottle black...the other little Eiffel tower was lonely and the black just fit. Really it did. Thanks Miss. Joy for having this fun party....fumes and all. Off to go visit everyone's spray paint projects. cherry

Everything is just beautiful. You have a great eye for color. I feel inspired to add some brightness to my home and life. :0)
As always, I just LOVE your stuff!
Although it kinda freaks me out that we have a lot of the exact same things. My first thought is, "Did she sneak in my house and take mine?!?!" (Hee! Hee!)
Actually I think we might be long lost sisters.
Thanks for suggesting this great idea, Sister. It's been fun!
Never too late for a party!!! Your items looks so amazing. Plus I strolled down you blog, my friend you got some real talent!!!!
I love all of your work! I agree with Cameo; you definitely have a great eye for color!!! I'll take one of everything, please! :)
Yippee! Yippee! It just would not be a spray painting party with out you!! :o) All of your colors look very nice! My mind is racing with ideas! Not good...nearly time for bed! :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Love the color choices!!

Hi, Cherry, thanks for leaving me a note. I have been meaning to get back by to see you & glad you joined the party too. You have some really pretty things that you've changed with spray paint. I remember you were always very creative too!
I'll add you to my bloglist so I can come back more often!

Just lovely. Love it all, but the red fleur de lis is my favorite, hands down.
Eye candy, that's all I can say.
Fashionably late maybe, but definitely fashionable. Those transformed pieces are great. All of the ideas I have seen today have been so inspiring. Everything I see here is just beautiful! Jackie
Very inspiring... I am trying to get away from black and your looks so good. Very inspiring.
Ok so cute! I love those colors and need to be more brave!
BTW-starting a book club with friends-first read Twilight series! I read them all last year, (well, minus book 4)but am joining anyways-I just love your blinky! Any Twilight fan is a friend of mine!
Love them Cherry!

The bucket and rosette plaque are wonderful! And the spray painted perfume bottle - genius!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. So nice to meet you. I am thinking the finial is going outside for now. I have two other things I wanted to paint to go with it, but ran out of paint today.
Does everything you touch turn to gold? Or black? Or red? :) I love everything!
Oooooh, my, I love your taste!! Those are some fun projects!! All these projects today will sure have me looking differently at objects--look for good form, cuz you can always change the color!! :)
So glad I found you!!

Hey Joy, I sent a comment to Krylon website to take a look at your site for all your spray painting ideas. All I got back was a robotic automated response. Oh Well! You have got great ideas! Love all this spray paint commotion going on!
Blessings, Debbie
I love it all! It's all so beautiful and inspiring! :)
Thanks also for your kind comment on what I posted about my friend Amy, and I hope you have a wonderful night!
Oh I love love love the green finial and I am so jealous of your "There's No Place Like Home" seeing as though it's my blog name. How long ago did you find that at Home Goods? As always, great choices with the paint colors:)
Love those colors! You have the cutest accessories. But I tell you that ever time. lol
Thanks so much for coming by my blog today. It is so fun getting to know my new blogging sisters.
You're right we have similar tastes. Our houses could be best friends if we let them. I have friends who look down their noses at yard sales and thrift stores. But most of my stuff comes from them. And I love it. And our houses are way cuter than theirs.
Mimi Sue
I just have to say ONCE AGAIN you have really turned these every day things into something wonderful. I love it, and I love your birdies. I haven't found any...yet. But I am looking! Beautiful post!
Blessings, Debbie
Oh I love♥ it all! Spray paint is soooooo our friend. I love the colors that you choose. Hmmm... I wish I didn't lose my invite to the painting party. Maybe another time. My hands were busy with my giveaway stuff.
Oooh, I just love all those things! What great colors you used! I especially love that green pineapple finial, and the Eifel Tower. So cute! And don't worry, I am always late for these things!
You always have the most beautiful things and they are always arranged in such a pleasing eye-catching way. Love all of your beautiful colors.
Cherry- that whole display with the green and the white and bowls and birds.... made my heart happy. So pretty! I always love what you do!
You DID fix it---thank you, thank you! :-)
I LOVE black, but love it that color pops are sneaking back in! It's all about moderation, as it is with anything. It is so much fun to see your creativity come to life via photos---you do inspire me to, at least, PUT away my 4th of July decorations and start pulling out the fall stuff! That's probably all I will have time for. I'm heading to a terrific flea market and antique sale this Friday. I hope to find some great items to decorate with--if not, it'll still be great just to escape for the day and "go junkin".
Now, I will proudly add my name and url to your comment page! dana
LOOK! It worked! Now, you will have LOTS of Typepad, Wordpress and others be able to easily tell you how much they love your blog!! :-)
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog and for your prayers as well. Blessings.
So great! I LOVE that water jug! Now, that's a transformation! You are so creative.
OMG!!!!!! I love your blog. Everything you do is awesome. I love tutorials. I have a fetish for scrapbook paper yet I don't scrapbook. (is that weird?) I would decoupage just about anything. I found about a dozen projects that I want to try. One of my favorites was the covered eraser (I am off to wal mart to find one as soon as I am done with this post). This may be a stupid question but how do you cover those Christmas (Noel) tags, I may have failed to mention that some of the scrapbook supplies intimidate me. I am so glad that I have your blog to inspire me. I am adding you to my favorites! Thank you so much for stopping by it is nice to meet you, Smiles, Paula
How fun to pop over to a new blog and go WOW. I LOVE the look of your blog!!! Then I love all your photos. Laurie
I love looking at the things you create. The colors are beautiful. I am looking forward to trying out some new colors. My finger seems to always be black and after seeing all this color I may take a trip on the wild side and get a red(paint)finger. :)
Blessings,
Linda
I love it all! I've really got to get out to the store and get me some paint!
I love these pieces. I have to ask you about the little white pots with the initials on them. Are those decoupaged (sorry about spelling if it is wrong!) on, or painted? Just curious because I love how they turned out! :)
-Carrie
Very nice! You're braver than me... For some reason, decopage scares me to death. I think it's because I know I'd be no good at it. LOL!
WoW! I love everything!!! I'm glad that everyone has these parties.. I always find new blogs to stalk~ I'll be doing that to yours!
i am loving that apple green color! Love it all! I am thinking that the next spary paint purchase will have to be the green color! thanks so much for sharing-you know that I love all the things that you do! Cute new sign. Looks great with the green paint!
Love all of it! I'm getting inspired to do something other than my normal black color.
You truly do have a great eye for color, arranging and setting the perfect stage.

I have to admit I am a black paint person and have touches of black...no...not touches...but a lot of black in my home. I love your new transformations especially that green finial. It looks like jadeite. ~ Lynn
You inspire me Cherry.
I have so many projects between work and home that I procrastinate like crazy. But I did make a commitment to finish painting the secretary that I started a year ago, ( black of course!) this last weekend. One more monkey off my back!
Have an amazing day!
