Crafty Christmas

This lady is deckin the halls...I took a break to come share a few crafts with ya and a small wee glimpse of the decorating going on in the Nelson house hold this year. I have been busy doing some crafts some of which found there way into a lovely vintage Christmas swap I participated in this year. As you know...me and boxes are "tight". I like to use them...in abundance. I did little Christmas House ones this time. One with a vintage snowman reproduction and one with some snow girls. Yesterday found me spray painting some branches white...I made a "branch tree"...stuck them in an old galvanized bucket and put ornaments on top. I hope to fully share that tomorrow. You can see my bingo card santa hanging from those branches. I love old bingo cards! This one says JOllY..so I thought a Santa image was the way to go. I have also been having fun playing with these stars....adding to them and painting them. I added antiquing medium to this one. Make fun little presents for the peeps. Last but hopefully not least...a little peek into my old Santa mug collection.....I hope to get the rest done today and tomorrow. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was a good one! I will be sharing many projects in the next few days. Cherry

HA! "Tight" -- yes, you and your boxes are tight, only because you make them look so dang good! I love that polka dot paper. Putting up the decorations is taking me forEVER this year! I've been working on it for a week! Tomorrow I am getting it all done and boxes back to the basement so we can just enjoy!

You simply inspire me with your sense of style! I'm hosting BUNKO at my 1970s home in the next couple of weeks and I'm a little nervous. Most of my friends live in large new homes. However, when I see how you put things out that are so beautiful it makes me realize it's not how new my home is...it's how lovely I keep it up and decorate it with things that I love. Thanks for all your inspiration.

Oh how fun! I get to pick which craft you show us? What an honor!! How about that darling cone with the Snowman/angel. Now I can't wait! I'm so excited.

I love, love ,love the star and the bingo Santa card. They are great . I am with you on boxes. While we were in Fairfax for Thanksgiving weekend we went to a yard sales Saturday and I bought two stacks of beautiful boxes for only $10 and I was happy as if I had found gold. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and looking forward to seeing more of your Christmas stuff.
