So excited this month to share in the reveal of the November club ribbons. It is the prettiest combination of silvers and golds. You should have found your way here from our new team member Leslie! If at anytime you find yourself lost just start back at the RRR. I decided to do another one of my mason jar lids....I have been doing them and tart tins since last year and never tire of them.
I started with my metal lid and threw it into my "aging bath". I have had a lot of you ask about how to rusty your goodies up. It is very simple. Get a plastic tub with a good seal....this stuff does not smell good at all! Add half a cup of bleach and than a half cup of vinegar. Just drop whatever you want in and let it sit over night. I got a little obsessed for awhile....I even tried ribbons which worked well and my bottlebrush trees. I love this look....very old and aged. Once my lid was ready I adhered pretty pattern papers backed with chipboard to the bottom for interest. I used papers from Raspberry Road Designs. I added my metal scene of mary and joseph, which I rusted as well. I tied some of the ribbon club ribbon around my whole lid and tied ribbons at the top. I topped the ribbons with mulberry flowers from the store which I also aged. I added a few mini brambles to add a rustic touch. I love how it turned out....simple and rustic.
