Just because....
More snow....more freezing temps....so what else is there to do but create! So I did a few things with some new goodies I got yesterday. I love snowmen....collect them. This guy just makes me smile. So does the little boy and girl. I think fairy tales do come true....that is what I think when I look at this piece. I need to surround myself with things with whimsy with the winter here....little pick me ups go a long ways. The little scallop plaque I used a few old items I had that I had been hoarding. I do that sometimes....but tell myself that things are meant to be used and enjoyed. Than a few little cards using some scraps and what nots. OHHH and wanted to share a pic of my son and I on Thanksgiving....one of the few where HE IS NOT MAKING A FACE. SIGH. Is it just this age? I think he is half crazy sometimes...goofy kid. Ohhhh well....love him...gooofy and all! Hugs, cherry

Winter wonderland....
I have every right to say it too! It really is a winter wonderland...even though it is tech. still Fall! I just have two cards to share with you tonight....both involving snow....or at least images of snow. I am loving these soft blues....and pinks. Like a wintery landscape and the softening of the skies before nightfall. We are suppose to have a hard Winter...because of la nina...harder than normal. Our normal usually means a lot of snow so I am a little freaked at the moment. Better make darn certain we are stocked with the hot cocoa.
So I thought I would try the new etsy coupon thingy ma jingy. If you have a hankering for some Christmas cards or a bob a ma jig (several in the store) and love a good coupon come take a peek. Use the word holiday for a bit of a discount on your next purchase. http://www.etsy.com/shop/cherryjn

GCD Studios theme project...Christmas giving
Hello are we all getting in the Christmas spirit? I know I am....I get excited this time of year...there is always a bit of magic weaving itself through little ordinary family moments. Things seem sweeter and dearer to me....yes I get a bit nostalgic. GCD Studios wanted us to create a Christmas gift of some type. I decided to use the Christmas Sleigh collection. I used two of the papers-Cranberry sauce (love that name), and Christmas cloth. I also used an Artsy Urban transparancy. I wanted to do something relatively inexpensive and easy to replicate in case I wanted to make several. You never know when you need something for a teacher, mail lady, neighbor etc. I bought the little wood container from the Dollar Tree...drew a pattern on the papers and set to work cutting out. Adhered with wood glue and sanded and inked for some distressing. I used one of my Sizzix diecuts for the mistle toe and adhered for some "greenery"...added my beloved seambinding, and made a little card for my sentiments. I added some filler inside (I used vintage sheet music for an old fashion touch) and added some Ghiredelli chocolates . Simple and oh so sweet LITERALLY, lol. Hope you like! Merry Christmas everyone! Neglectful
Yes I was neglectful today...my house needed cleaning...but instead I gussied up this little house instead. You have to admit this is a whole lot more fun. I would much rather glitter than dust. Wouldn't you? You know your g litter addiction is bad when you are sitting in bleachers watching a game and you are distracted by glittered eyelashes. Yes...it does get everywhere. Oh well I will make the sacrifice. So here they are my creations....had to pop in with them and share. Have to work tomorrow but hope to share my few Thanksgiving decorations with you. That is it for me....weekends come and go to fast...as do the holidays. As does getting older...sigh. Awww but I digress! Hugs to you all, cherry

Guess what?
I know nuttin too exciting....I am a stinker! Just wanted to share..that my dh is cooking dinner and I am in here getting to play! Does not happen often...but take advantage of it when I can. Bless his heart! Salmon..yum. Well here are a few Saturday night shares. Some cards in my fave blue and red combo. Must speak to my scandavian heart. Than true to my nature...a few altered plaques. I did a large one last night and had so much fun adding more embellishments since there was more room to work with. Don't know what I would do without my chipboard! Hope you enjoy and sure hope your weekends are going well! Too fast for me! Last night ws sooo thrilling my son made the winning shot for his team. It almost went into over time. He was a regular little Coby Bryant. His team was so happy...third game and first win. Will be good for their morale! Well off I go to go ear salmon...not made by me...yea! xoxo, cherry
