Happy Halloween!

Hi there!  Wow.  Just wow.  I  want to say thank-you so soo much for chiming in ..taking the time to leave some love.   I was so happy to see some lurkers that I now consider new friends say hi.    I really enjoy knowing who is here and visiting me.   I know everyone is busy..as I said before.  I know also that there are days when people do not have time to comment.  I am guilty of it myself.  Life happens.
That said....it does get a bit sad when you take time to create, share goodies, do tutorials, blog, and yet you feel alone.   Especially when your blog stats say other wise.   So again..thank you for letting me know you ARE here.   I hope to hear from you more!  Today I had to share a spookem of course....it IS HALLOWEEN.   A fun altered pendant.  I used a bunch of cutie patootie Scaredy Cat goodies from Pretty Little Studio.   I love that flirty little Jack o lantern.  Add some papers, a glittered 3d frame, and lots of yummy ribbons from Really Reasonable ribbons and you have a fun festive piece to decorate your home with.   Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry

The Dilemma

Wow.   Did you all fall off the face of the earth?   Does anyone come visit anymore...or should I close this ole blog down?   I hope someone is out there.  From my blog count there are a  lot of visitors but hardly anyone actually comments.   I know we are all busy but it is a bit disconcerting like I am talking to myself.  Hmmmm.
I came by tonight to share some cards...I have quite the dilemma between Santas and snowmen.  Which is my favorite?  One minute I swear it is good ole frosty and the next....Kris Kringle.  So the struggle continues.  I have been trying in vain to use some of my stash....I have quite a huge Christmas stash...like I am sure many ofyou do.   I do not need one single new thing....but who was buying a few new sheets of Christmas paper today at our local scrapbook store?  Me.  yep.  I can't help  myself.   I surely can not say no to those lovely old victorian images of Santa....my wheels spin with ideas for St Nick.   So they come home with me.
Another dilemma?  Color combos.  REDS and BLUES...bestill my heart...but than traditional reds and greens...ohhh jeese....... I will save that for another day!   Hope you enjoy!  OHHHHHH and lurkers could you please say hi???     Hugs, cherry

CAUTION...

We are switching gears here today from Christmas...while I share a fun little project for Epiphany Crafts all about Halloween!   We were sent the oh so cute "Haunted House" stamp set from Sweet Shop Stamps.   I decided to make a couple little tags that are perfect to tie to some treats.   Of course in keeping with that theme I decided to use the skeleton image and paired it with some mini potion and caution labels.  I used the scallop circle 25 tool  and the scallop circle 25 bubble caps .    Great way to add that special touch to some dreadfully yummy eats.  These will be perfect come Wednesday night to tie to some treats....if we dare eat them!  Happy Thursday!     Hugs, cherry

Peppermint candies..

Here to share a card literally sweet from TRC using the mint swirl candies  stamp.  I knew when I got them that I wanted to pair them with the  mini jar .   What says Christmas more than a jar full of yummy candy!  I won't lie..this card took some time!  You must like fussy cutting...which I do.   I stamped the candy images on cardstock over and over and cut them out and than went to town glamming them up with some sugary glitter!  I had fun placing then randomly inside the jar.   Of course I had to add a little something to the top of the jar...I added some ribbons, a pin, and stamped one of the holly leaves from the Christmas tidings   set and added a button to the middle.    That is that!  Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, cherry

Pretty packages..

Hi there!  Tuesday is here and it is my day to share a tutorial with you for Really Reasonable Ribbon . Which also brings me to some news I get to share that I made the team at RRR for a second term!  So excited!    Anyways back to my tutorial.   I have seen such cute cards all tied up with ribbons that look like a wrapped present so I decided to try my own version.
The first pic shows the slit I made half way up the length of the card on the left side so that I could slide my horizontal ribbons through .  I just wrapped the gingham ribbon  through and glued it down.  That took care of my ribbon that runs side to side.  From there I wrapped the up and down ribbons all the way around (as shown in the pic)  and tied my bow.
From there I had fun adding my embellishments and sentiment.   I added some  crochet lace to the bottom and used the sweetest christmas twine to tie my tag on.  Love that this card is really so simple but the ribbon really makes it special!   Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, cherry

dream awayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Happpppppppy friday...I wish I could be dreaming right about now...staring out the window. Being all fanciful and lost in thought.    I am up to my eyeballs in kitchen painting.   I think it will never end.  I can't even find my utensils right now.   Forks, spoons where are you?   Please let the end be near.  Sighhhhhhh.  O'well.
Today I have a sweet card all about the challenge over at Creative Paper Trade .   It is a fun one!  Gorgeous pics don't you think? Mine was the last pic,  the tip top shape challenge.    It was so easy to use this as a jumping off point when I used some of Andrea's gorgeous goodies.   The chick is brilliant with embellishments!  Just love those felt stars and fabric fringe.   I thought the sentiments fit well with the stars..which made me think of the sky.  The sky is the limit right...so dream away!  It is a joy to dream...and to fill your day trying to strive for them.  At least that was my train of thought.
Remember to join in with us!  Andrea always has some wonderful give-aways!  We would love to see your creations! I am off to paint some more !  hugs, cherry

Magical snow globe

Already Wednesday???  Wow.  How does that happen?  Today is just a quick fun little project made for The Rubber Cafe .  I used their Magical Ball stamp.  Cute little snow globe with a even cuter little snowman.   I fussy cut the image out and than used some of my Spellbinder's dies to add layers and demension.  I used the circle, scallop circles, and labels eight dies.  I added some stitching and inking...and some ribbons and itsy bitsy tags for fun.  I have been diecutting some of my scrap pieces of chipboard and used some of the Silver medal you're so fine glitter to cover the pieces.   I covered my stars with it.  I LOVE this glitter...I inked the edges of the stars first so that when I sprinkled the glitter it would give the glitter a tarnished look.  love, love, LOVE the outcome.  After I was done..I sprinkled a healthy dose of mica flakes to the top of each tag.  They are ready to adorn a package...or two!  Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry

RRR Blog HOP!

Well we are hopppppppppping again...it is time to share the Ribbon club selection for this month over at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You should have popped over from Ms. Gloria's.  This month's selection is full of holiday charm.   So many sweet Christmas ribbons...they all made my heart swoon.    I couldn't seem to stop...I was in a card making frenzy.   I had fun adding black to my first card...I think it pops well with the red.  I really like this combination for Christmas and it of course goes well with those cute scotty dogs.  My last two cards are more traditional...using the dark evergreen color from the ribbon assortment.  Soo pretty.   I topped off the ornament diecut with a big bow...and the other card I wrapped it all the way around and topped it off with a red jingle bell.  Another little dodad I can't live with out for Christmas.
Now remember if you get lost you can always start from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.   Your next stop on the blog hop is Emily's .    Remember to take the time to comment and visit everyone.  There is always a fun prize .   Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry
