Clouds of blue....

Can you have so much happy?  To much sweetness?  I think not.  These sweet little glimpses into another time and place always make me happy.  So does knowing Spring is almost here.  These projects were made for the RRR Blog.
My first little project are a couple of sweet mini glassine bags decked out with Pretty Little Studio images and bingo cards, and layered with diecut hearts, mini clothepins, and vintage buttons.  I used moss green seam binding for my bows. My other project is an oversize tag that I layered with pattern papers from Ocotber Afternoon and Making Memories.  I used a big chunky glitter rose, stick pin with the sweetest rhinestone bow and topped the project with both silver and lace blue seam bindings and attached satin swiss dot ribbon in blue topaz to the top.    These projects remind me of Green Spring grass and clear blue skies.  Things sure to come soon!   Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!  Cherry

A WHOLE lotta GREEN

Well....I think I got St Patrick's day out of my system.   All that gorgeous green brightens the spirits this time of year.   Lots of oldies but goodies here.  Old October Afternoon scraps, some paper from Hobby Lobby (yesss we finally have one, Yippee) ,  old images, a little stamping, some roses from my bin, some sweet heart blossoms from RRR,  mixes of very old lace , vintage tulle, and moss green seam bindings from RRR.   I used some of my last bingo cards from Vintage Street Market.  Wish they were still around :(.    Is Spring comin around your neck of town?   It is sunny here but very very cold.  Our family is trying to get over some sickness that seems to hang on with all its might.   Wish us luck!  Thanks for visiting, Cherry

New challenge at RRR

Today is a new challenge over at RRR.  This challenge is a purple and green challenge with ribbons.   I thought this image from an old card was perfect.  I found some old papers of mine...October Afternoon and Little Yellow Bicycle and did a bit of layering.  I added monthly ribbon club ribbons using the purple satin and white crochet lace.  I also added moss green seam binding to each side of the image.  Love the shabby look of this!  Added a doily to the bottom and top and some fun chunky buttons.  Hope you all will play along with us!  Such a fun Spring combination.  Thanks for visiting, cherry

Love you, Doll

Decidedly sweet Spring colors are.  It is like the opening of a new box of crayons, breaking out the blues, greens, yellows, pinks.  Which colors shall I choose?  All of them, depending on the day.  Easter egg colors...vivid pastels.  Today's cards use some of these inspiring colors.  I made these cute little cards for RRR.   I used Crate Paper images, Melissa Frances paper from wayyy back, a bit of stamping using Pink Persimmon and PTI stamps, and seam bindings, also 5/8 pink crochet lace and Karen white crochet lace.   Hope you enjoy and perhaps enjoyiing early Spring weather, where ever you are!  Cherry

RRR blog hop is here!

Hello to you all!  Time for some blog hopping, Let's bring on the Ribbon club ribbon!  You should have found your way here from Kathy's blog.  If at any time you get lost , just start back at the RRR blog.
Funny I didn't start out to make all St. Patrick's Day cards..but it is what it is!   I guess I was drawn to the crochet lace and ginghams!  I love greens anyways and was ready for some Spring colors!  I used old papers, flowers which I dipped in tea to age a bit, doilies (been having fun with those again), seam bindings in moss green, stick pins, and fun images from stash.  I get asked a lot where I find my images.  I find them all over.  Some are vintage images from books or old cards, vintage images from Etsy, and some are stamps.   Crafty Secrets is also a good resource.  Well that is it for me...your next hop along your travels is back at the RRR blog.   Have fun on your hoppin!  Cherry

Buttons and Bows challenge at RRR

Hello to you!  I hope all is well.  I am popping in late, better late than never, with projects made for the buttons and bows challenge at RRR.  We always love it when you join us!  So grab your fave ribbon and some fun buttons and get to work!  This one was a favorite of mine considering how much I love bows and buttons.   My first project is a card using a sweet motto style image.  I used lipstick red seam binding to make my big foo foo seam binding bow.  I used rows of eclectic doodads for buttons....brads, actual buttons, crochet heart, and a big vintage chunky clip earring!
Now my other project is a sweet sewing pocket using vintage ribbons I have been hoarding along with satin grosgrain ribbon in one inchseam bindings, and burlap center stitch in pink. I broke out my old PTI stamps and added some character, along with rhinestone buttons, stickers, sewing theme papers from Carta Bella, and some fun vintage stamens.   Lots of doodads that just fit together!  I hope you enjoy and play with us!   Hugs, cherry

Just stinkin cute!

Happy Tuesday!  Posting over at RRR today!  Very strange...but it feels like Spring weather as of late.  I grabbed up some sweet images and my baby pink and moss green seam binding and played a bit.  Pink and grassy greens always remind me of Spring.  My first bow on the doggy card is more of a junk bow.  I started off with some ripped muslim calico fabric and layered on the seam binding along with white crochet lace to soften it up, which I also added to the bottom of the card.
On my second card I used the seam bindings and also added a border of stitched burlap ribbon in pink along with the cutest little pink sweetheart blossoms.  They are the perfect vintage pink.  I layered them with crochet diecut hearts and a crochet heart and added the little flowers and buttons.  I like the eclectic look it gives.  So has Spring come early to your part of the country?   It is just strange...but whatcha gonna do?   Hope you enjoy....Cherry
