Exciting news...

Hello and happy late, late, late Saturday..almost Sunday!  Life has calmed down a bit with the ending of basketball season for my son and I have a little time to breathe.  I wanted to pass along some exciting news that I have known for awhile but have not shared.  I am now on the Canvas Corp Team.  I am thrilled to be on this team which is the home of Tattered Angels, 7 Gypsies, and the Canvas Home Basics.    I will be sharing new projects soon with their gorgeous goodies!  Until than I thought I would share some just because creations.  I think you all know how I love to use "found objects" ....anything is fair game to me.   I have had this sweet chippy vintage child's teacup and saucer for awhile and thought I would make a card using them.  I used Moss Green seam binding from RRR and a few bits and bobs from my stash.  I believe my paper is old Crate paper.

My other little card is a fun whimsical Easter card.  Sometimes you just don't know how a card will turn out....it just has a life of its own.  This one was like that.  I love all the little eclectic details to it.   Well that is it for me.....hope to be back soon!  Hugs, Cherry

From me and bunny

It's Wednesday...and I hope you are having a wonderful day!   It is my day over at RRR.   With the fickle weather we have been having.....try a day of almost 60 degrees...snow is melting.....by night fall it is a blizzard...I am craving some Spring.  I had this sweet vintage spool in varying shades of blues and decided to create one of my altered spool pieces.  I used lace blue seam binding along with Tea roses in mixed blue tones which are fabulous!  They are new to the store.  I love them.  I  just love this sweet old image...and that bunny!  I added mini blue buttons around the edge for some added interest.  Well that is it for me....enjoy and happy mid week to you!  Cherry

On your special day

Monday ...Monday....frantic Monday!  My day over at Really Reasonable Ribbon today.
So I thought I would share these cards that make me yearn for warmer days.  Not too much longer and the butterflies will be flitting around and the flowers will be blooming.  Our snow is melting and I can see patches of earth here and there.   Whether my flowers survived only time will tell.  Our Winter was pretty brutal.
These cards use bits and pieces that all just kinda came together rather easy....I used baby pink seam binding along with Bay Leaf Seam binding.  I also added these stunning English roses in pink.  LOVE them!  Want to use them on everything!  Well Happy frantic Monday Ya'll!  hugs, cherry

RRR blog hop time!

Hello all yous!  It's time for a blog hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon!  You should have found your way here from Ms. Leslie's blog.  If at anytime you get lost start back at the RRR blog link above.  This month's ribbons are perfectly titled "Gorgeously Green"....and they are gorgeous.  I found this October afternoon wild card and decided to use it..matches the ribbons perfectly.  I used Webster Pages papers, along with buttons, a bit of a doily,  white magnolias, and Sweetheart blossoms in pale yellow.  That is it for me....your next stop is back at the RRR blog.  Have fun and be inspired!  hugs, Cherry

Snow is melting.....

Heyyyyy did you all know Easter is in March this year?  For some reason it never seems quite right when Easter is in March to me.  I guess because growing up it was always in April.  Either way....it is not that far off.  With the snow finally melting and Spring officially about a month away I have dipped into my Easter goodies.  Lots of pinks, greens, and blues.  So many gorgeous colors to choose from!
First up a baby lamb....they have my heart.   When I was a girl we always chose the long way around to town so we could roam the countryside looking at all the baby animals.  The second card is close to my heart as well because it actually has red in it for Easter!  Love non-traditional takes on holiday colors.  Lastly just a sweet altered art plaque.  Most ribbons as usual are from RRR.  Hope you enjoy...and if have snow...hope it is melting!  We shall see green soon!  :)  hugs, cherry

Cherry picking.....

Popping in this Wintery Thursday to share a new challenge at RRR.   It is an "Anything Goes" theme and we have paired up with Polly's Paper Studio for this challenge.  Ginny had these adorable Summer cherries digital images that I kinda gravitated too....hmmm wonder why?   I decided to create a berry basket deck it out and fill it with cherry tags.  Kinda over the top but I had fun with this Summer goody in the dead of Winter.  I used the gorgeous green ribbons  from the ribbon club assortment from this month along with Moss green and lipstick red seam binding, and also a bit of Cherry twine.   Well that is it for me....I do think I heard from a little birdie that Ginny is doing a give away of free digis over at the RRR blog.......you might want to check :).   Hugs, Cherry

My girl...

Happy Thursday!  This is my day with my Dad to go to the "big town" to get groceries and go junking.   We really enjoy it and it gets us out of the house!  With all the snow we are getting cabin fever.
Popping in before leaving with Just a few random projects for you today.   The first two are my projects posted over at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  A Valentine puppy tag...pure retro!  I used Paradise Aqua seam binding along with lipstick red seam binding.  I topped off my paper bow with the prettiest two tone cottage roses in blue.  I love them!!!
My other card is a "just because" card.......an encouraging card.  I have had these Crate chipboard letters forever and decided to grab them and use them.  I used baby pink seam binding on the card.  Well hope you enjoy these goodies!  Hugs, cherry
