paper therapy

I have a kaleidoscope of Valentines for you....feeling rather sad.  Missing my Mama something fierce right now.  So creating all day to day seemed the only thing to do.  Bright cheery colors....reds, pinks, sweet nostalgic images, mini love letters....how can that not bring a smile to your face?  Losing myself in my studio.....not looking at a clock.   I needed it.  I just simply want to share with you.  I know there are those out there that understand where I am.  Some days are good....others are minute to minute.  Grab a smile when you can and a laugh.  Than take a shower and the tears just fall.  Instead of pushing the "scary' feelings away we must try to embrace them.  I just hope they come fewer and fewer as time passes.  It helps me to share this...and I hope you understand.   These papers and what they become heal my heart.  Therapy comes in many forms.   Thank you for listening my friends.   Hugs, cherry

Sweetie Pie....

Boy I tell ya...it is so lonely in here my voice echos!  Is there anyone home?  Stopping by to share some projects I made today.  I have to fit them in when I can between working on my shop, running man boy to practice, and going to back to back basketball games.  Ohhhh and housework.  I do do that on occasion.  Only when necessary.
I created an adorable candy basket and ornament/tag....perfect for this coming holiday.  I also got a card made today.  Very eclectic..and I am loving the colors.  Reds, dark pink, and light pinks.
Also wanted to share that I am officially on the Canvas Corp Design team.
So excited to be apart of their brand of products!  I am also going to be creating card kits again for Photographs and Memories.
Well blogger is giving me fits.   I give up!   Thanks for visiting!  Cherry

Because...I love you...

Happy Monday...hope it is going well for you!  I am starting mine off sharing some projects made for RRR.   My first is a whimsical card that I used ribbon scraps on and than topped with pink feathers.  A bit over the top...and I love it.   I used plaid ribbon in black, circus dots grosgrain red, double faced satin in pink, and baby pink seam binding.   I also used jumbo leaves in parrot green and sweetheart blossoms in pink to top my lady silhouette with.
My second project all started when I found this sad and lonely chipboard piece left over from an old Tattered Angels set.   I used all kinds of old bits and bobs on this....I thought it made a cute oversize tag.  I topped it off with Plaid ribbon houndstooth in black and white along with lipstick red seam binding.   It was missing a few flowers  as well so I added some pretty open face white roses.  I don't think you can have too many for Valentines day.  Do you?  Well enjoy my fellow creators!  Have a great week!  Hugs, cherry

Love letters...

Good Morning!  How are you doing?  We have a fun challenge going on over at RRR.  It is a "Show me the Pink" challenge!  So do just that.....let's see that pink!  I have no problem with pink....especially paired with a little aqua green.  I had this mini Jenni Bowlin album from many moons ago. You know those supplies that never end up getting touched?  I finally decided to make some use of it and created a little "love notes" mini.
I started by covering the front and inside back of the album.  I painted the back side of it with chalk paint.  If you have never covered chipboard it is really easy.  You simply take your pattern paper and trace the chipboard piece onto it.  Cut it out and adhere.  I like to use a bit of sandpaper to smooth my edges.  I had fun embellishing the pages.  I added buttons,  sweet images, glitter pieces, rose petal seam binding and Paradise aqua seam binding.  Lots of little bits and pieces I have been collecting till they had the perfect spot.  I also used beautiful Wild Orchid two tone pink roses to top my ribbons off with inside.  I left every other page empty for "the mushy stuff"....smile.    Well that is it for me....make sure to check out the other designers beautiful challenge pieces.   Happy weekend!

Yours Truly

Happy Friday! I am Still in the mood for some pink.... enjoying this month's  ribbons from RRR's monthly ribbon club.  I always have a stash...a cabinet's worth stash.. of things to alter.  I broke out this vintage gold frame and heart and had fun playing.  I used some beautiful German scraps along with diecuts and paper scraps.  I used the Diamond satin in rose pink from the ribbon club along with plaid ribbon in pink, and seam binding in baby pink.  I added some roses as well, what is Valentine's Day with out roses?  Love the gold paired with the pink.  Enjoy!  Cherry
