Cat in a pumpkin!!!

Weather is becoming crispy cool in the morns.....finding myself putting on long layers and craving a little baking.  Have an oh so adorable little project made for RRR.   This new ribbon in a gorgeous orange plaid has got me smitten.  I love the little black detail on it.  I used it as a border along the bottom for a pop of color and also to hang the bingo card from.  I have been making these bingo cards for years now....way before they were "cool".  Such a great base for your any vintage goodies.  To really make my main images pop I also used a bit of foam adhesive, it is kinda my best friend for so many projects.  I fussy cut my kitty cat out to bring it to life.  One of my fave images I have found this year.  Make sure to check your second hand stores, antique stores, etc for cards and old bits and bobs.  I usually find an image and than scan so I don't have to use the original.  I am a hoarder of images.  Well my RRR peeps ....that is about it!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Cherry

Spooky sweet treats...

Hello to you my friends!   More Halloween goodies to share using RRR ribbon.  It is my day over at the RRR blog.    Now eyeballs are not a favorite yummy treat for me...but these are pretty cute, and just a little bit spooky. My kind of Halloween.  I used more "googly" eyes.  I don't know if that is an official name for them, but it works for me.  I put them in a stamped Mason jar image from PTI.  I kept my mason jar simple because I wanted the eyes to really pop.  I used black seam binding along with Halloween bakers twine, and orange ribbon.   I added a cute little hand stamped tag and topped it off with one sweetheart blossom in orange.  I also used some foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.
My other tag uses plaid ribbon in orange with a black stitch with another adorable sweetheart blossom.  I used old Heidi Swapp stickers and a cute dimensional pumpkin to embellish my digital image.  Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, cherry

Raspberry Road....

Good Morning and happy Monday!  I am so excited to share a new to me store with you all!  What store you ask?  Raspberry Road Designs....don't you just love that name?   I was asked to join their design team! Susan is the owner of this beautiful store full of gorgeous digital papers and elements just perfect for all your scrapbook and card making.  I believe I am the only card maker on the team and can't wait to be inspired by all the goodies.  I used background papers from All Hallows Eve and the Goose Bumps Collection.  My first card I used the sweet vintage Halloween image paper as my background letting the papers take center front and spelled out BOO with some letters.  Added a few simple little embellies and I was done.  The other project a sweet Halloween ornament I took the Halloween image paper and cut one of the images from it to use as my main focal point.  My ribbons used are of course RRR.  So much fun to get to use new inspirational papers.  I hope to get better at using them in different ways!  Make sure to go check out her store, you won't be sorry!  The store has also been recently updated and is beautiful!  Hugs to you all, Cherry

Really Reasonable Blog Hop!!!!

Happy Sunday, Happy Day!  It is time for the monthly ribbon club blog hop with my favorite ribbon store, Really Reasonable Ribbon!  You should have made your way here from Kathy's blog.  If at anytime you find yourself lost...just head on back to the RRR blog.  This month's ribbon  assortment is one of my very favorites of all time. EVER.
I did several projects, and really enjoyed the process.  My first is a cutie pie Frankie tag.  He is so sweet and silly.  I used the kiwi satin, spider webs on black ground, and orange plaid ribbon on the tag.  I also used a bit of black licorice twine through the button to top the ribbons off.  My other two creations are fun cards....the first more cute using the plaid ribbon houndstooth in black and white (LOVE) this ribbon, and the black crochet lace.  For the card's sentiment I spelled out BOO with some chipboard letters and added "googly" monster eyes for fun.  Lastly a more vintage take on Halloween.  I used the Kiwi, black satin, and black crochet lace again along with gingham moss green micro ribbon.  My image comes from my paper stash, along with old stickers, chipboard buttons from Jenni Bowlin, stamped tag, and gorgeous harlequin paper from Raspberry Road Designs.  Hope you enjoy and find some Halloween cheer and inspiration!  Your next stop is back at the RRR blog!  Hugs, Cherry

things with wings RRR challenge

It is a challenge day at RRR.   The challenge is "things with wings" with ribbon or trim.    My first is more subtle with the little bats in the top left corner.  I used burnt rust seam binding.  My second project is more obvious with "the wings" with my owl being my main focal point.   I used Orange grosgrain ribbon that I than added black glitter washi tape to.   Enjoy this challenge and join along!   Cherry
