Old friends....

Happy Sunday..I made a large card for a friend recently using RRR ribbon.  It was for a 70th birthday...they went wayyyyyy back.   I used things that harkened from there past.   Little things that symbolized their friendship.  I used Lipstick red seam binding  along with Melina white crochet lace at the bottom.   I love making cards that really signify something.   Love the old vintage look.......so nostalgic.   Hope you enjoy!  cherry

Easter greeting.....

Happpppppppppy Wednesday to you!   I have a sweet Crafty Secrets project for you.  I used one of the Easter Postcards from the online store.   I painted a chipboard scallop frame, sanded, and inked it for aging and than piled on the goodies.   Starting with embossed stickers, tinsel, and a huge fabric blossom.   I stitched the image for some added detail as well.   I added ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon as well.  Gorgeous seam bindings in pinks and greens and than topped them off with a vintage style rhinestone button.  I adore the old fashion images that are in the store right now...many marked down!   Thanks for visiting!  Cherry

Early bird .....

Early bird ....he hatched early...yep he did!   This is my fun little project for our challenge over at RRR.   It is a "Spring" challenge....nuttin says Spring to me more than a baby chick hatching!  Reminds me of when I was a little girl and I would go on drives with my Grandma Ruth ...we would drive the country side looking at all the new baby animals out in the pastures.  So sweet...new beginnings!  The sweet chick image is from Pretty Little Studio.  I used both Lace blue seam binding and Mimosa yellow seam binding.   I also used 2 tone pale yellow sweetheart blossoms to top my ribbons and sentiment off.   Enjoy...and happy Spring!  cherry

Sweet girl....

Hi there ....my turn over at the RRR today.   I had this ceramic frame I wanted to use from my stash and some Crate Paper baby goodies left.  I came up with this sweet little baby plaque.  I covered it in Pretty Little Studio papers that I stitched around the edges and adhered to a chipboard frame.  I added a chipboard bingo card and the frame. I kept it pretty simple and added my main focal image and a little metal sweet sentiment with a Tim Holtz memo pin.  I used mother of pearl vintage buttons and inked the edges for aging.  I decided to keep it soft and used rose petal pink seam binding  to hang the plaque from.  Love to make baby goodies...especially baby girls.  Hope you enjoy!  cherry

Ps.....RRR is having a design team try out!  Get all the details right  here!

A friend like you

SCROLL DOWN FOR OUR CRAFTY SECRETS LINKY PARTY TODAY

This is my second post of the day....this one for Really Reasonable Ribbon !

Hello and happy Monday!   I was in a red mood the other day and grabbed my lipstick red seam binding and matching polka dot papers and "painted the town red" with this little friendship plaque.  I started with a scallop edge chipboard piece and covered it in papers, than sanded and distressed it.  I added layers of vintage doilies, chalkboard label, and my sweet silhouette sentiment.  I wanted something towards the bottom for more pizazz and got this idea to add some sweet chipboard hearts and cut circle in them.  I wound more seam bindings through to create a seam binding banner.  After that I simply added some larger chunky pearls and a little vintage bow pin to the middle heart.  What do you think?  Makes me smile...but than I love red!  thanks for visiting, cherry

Crafty Secrets blog hoppin

Time for another blog hop with Crafty Secrets !   We were challenged to create something with a Spring theme.   I always think of Easter when Spring rolls around and the pastels that go along with it.  I started with the bottom of a chipboard box that had a nice depth to it so I could create a shadow box effect.   I added crepe papers and vintage tinsel to the outside.  I added pattern paper and a chipboard bingo card to the inside along with a framed sweet image from Crafty Secrets creative Easter scraps .  I added buttons and daisy flowers and lots of  tulle and seam binding to the top.  LOVE the aqua and spring green together.   Enjoy and check out the other ladies creations here.
