Ole St. Nick

Hello there!  Today is my turn to share some yummy goodness from Vintage Street Market .  I had a lot of fun using some of their fun new products.  I started with  my card...and had so much fun I couldn't stop...so I made some matching candy bags. I fell in love with that cutie patootie santa image...so kitschy.   I used some cosmo cricket, Jenni Bowlin, and a bit of Crate paper....along with some bits and bobs from my own stash.  As you can see I also used vintage style garment pins to hang my mini tags from...LOVE them!  To check out any links or to see more check out the design team blog .   Thanks so much for visiting me!  Especially to those that take the time to comment.   hugs, cherry

Love you, doll

So it is really October, it is definantly settling itself in....the air is feeling nippy around here.  Adding layers of afghans to the bed the last few days to stay warm.  Football games every Friday afternoon...pacing the track in hopes of staying warm.   I have already made stew several times..and pumpkin bread once.   Sooo I will have to come to terms with my beloved Summer passing.   At least I have my holidays to create for.   Today I only have one holiday goodie to share.  My first two cards are just because....just because I felt like it.   I love old and tattered...no secret there.  The more worn and aged the better.   That baby just makes me smile....had fun with that one.  The other is just a country style card...both just to make someone feel good.  Last but not least....an old world santa....never tire of those old images.  Hope  you enjoy and are having a good weekend!  hugs, cherry

Tip Top shape day!!!!

Hello there! Today is tip top shape day over at Creative Paper Trade !  Time for a little creative shape play today with TRIANGLES! From banners to flags and mosaic tiles, triangles are a shape we may see more often than we think. When you start looking triangles are everywhere!

I went a little unconventional with my triangle....a cone. when sat wide end down...very much like a triangle.  At least that is what I SAW, lol.   I use to decorate these a lot and forgot all about them.   So glad I rediscovered them...so fun to top off with bits and bobs.  Way easier when you have some of Andrea's delightful goodies.  I used the fun new Halloween digis from her store along with some of the papers, felt pendants, and her fabric fringe.

She was sweet enough too to make up this fun freebie for the occasion!
Now remember you have a chance to win the sweet goodies below....
We are wrapping up our first week of Challenge #2. Remember to link your projects on this POST to enter this weeks giveaway. We would love to see your projects inspired by our designers and inspirational photos by October 14th at midnight!

Paper Nudge.......sketch it out!

How about going back to some Halloween goodies today?  I already posted Thanksgiving...so a little Halloween won't hurt.   Today is Wednesday which of course means over at Creative Paper Trade  it is time for a bit of a paper nudge.....today it is a sketch.  The one you see above.   I really loved this sketch and tried using it on treat bags instead of a card.  I used some of Andrea's gorgeous digital goodies...those yummy Halloween images you see.  I LOVE them.  I also used some of her papers and that fabric trim.   I could use that on every project and be quite happy!   Sooo if you need a little inspiration nudge...go check out the rest of the gal's creations and try out the sketch.   You could be picked to win some great goodies....see below?   Pretty cool, huh?   Hope you enjoy my take on the sketch!  Thanks for visiting me!  hugs, cherry

Happy Fall

Happpy October!  It is cooling off here and the trees are shedding their leaves.  I am popping in to share a couple of little altered pieces....one very much Thanksgiving...the other just simply Fallish.  I have been having fun using two tone textured ribbon in browns from RRR.   Love the brown tones in them.  I used them of course to make bows and to use to hang from on the other plaque.  I also used a bit of the white wrinkled ribbon for contrast on one plaque.  I fell so in love with this shade of brown in the texture ribbons I had to make two plaques.  Love the browns with Fall colors...and with creams and whites for a more shabby look.   Thanks for letting me share!  hugs, cherry

Blog hoppin with RRR and Hampton Arts

I am here for a special blog hop between Really Reasonable Ribbon and Hampton Arts .  You should have found your way here from Ms. Gloria's blog.  It is a blog hop with a breast cancer awareness theme.  Such an important subject and something that touches so many.  RRR will be offering a $20 gift certificate and Hampton Art will have a prize pack of a stamp set and some ink pads with an approximate value of $20.  So if I were you I would be take the time to visit everyone and comment!  Make sure to visit Hampton Arts site  for more information.  I of course went with pink and used several gorgeous ribbons including pink velvet, pink crochet lace, pink seam binding.  I used the breast cancer insignia on the inside.   The front I imagined the bottles to be full of things that would make you feel better....health potions.  I tied a key around one bottle as a symbol...key to health.  I wanted a feminine uplifting card..hope you think I succeeded.  Your next stop is Ms. linda's .    Have fun!  hugs, cherry

Pretty In pink...

Wellllllllllllll now welcome to October!  Nope..no Halloween goodies today.  Something more soft and feminine.  It is the first so that means a new challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon .   The challenge is to create something "pretty in Pink" and of course you must use ribbons.
I decided on something cute and oh so baby!  An altered plaque I covered and embellished with new to me goodies.  Love me some pink...and nuttin says it better than a baby girl creation.  Go on over and check out the other design team's take on the challenge and be sure to enter yourself....you might just win some yummy goodies!   hugs, cherry
