The Birds have flown the coop...(birdcage)!

Nope my birdcage does not keep birds....instead it houses vases and flowers! This is an area above the monstrous television. If my dh gets some creature comforts...so do I! My roosters, birds, & any other doodads I might add. I have been trying to collect the little mother cups (see the egg inside?) I say trying because so far I have only found two. That is the thrill of the hunt though....right? Hope you all have had great weekends! xoxo, cherry

I keep flowers and angels in my birdcages.....
I have one of the "mother" cups..... I don't know that I've started a collection just yet, but I thought it was sweet, and yours is too! :)

Good Morning. Oh the bird cage looks amazing with the flowers and vases.....great idea. I think we both have the same rooster. So far I have three one stainless steel, one white and one wooden. There is just something about them that keeps me wanting more.

What a clever idea for your birdcage. Do you collect any sort of cup, as long as it says "Mother". If so, I'll be on the lookout when I'm thrifting. If I find one I'll get it for you.

Hi Cherry,
I love your blog! Your house seems so "homey" and warm. I realized when I saw your Mother cup that in all my antique/thrift store/Goodwill shopping I've never seen one!! Lots of Grandma though!
Keep up the good work,
Hope

Hi Cherry, I do believe I love the mug collection--I also collect mugs, but mostly from where I've visited or if one just strikes me collectable! I see we agree on books as well, I protect fiercly my copies of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn and To Kill A Mockingbird, lol. Your blog has given me many smiles, and even more inspiration, thanks!

Birdcages are so useful for showing off decorative items, especially when hung from rafters or in front of a window!

Hey Cherry. I left you a response regarding the comment question on my blog. Let me know if you still can't figure it out.

Hey..not sure if this is what you already did or not but go to your dashboard; click on 'layout', go to where it says blog posts and click on edit; there should be a list of things come up that you can select from. One of those says comments in a blank. I just deleted the 'comments' and put in my own wording. See if this makes more sense. If not, let me know.
Thanks.
