Happy Labor Day All!

Found the bird, old watering can, vintage flower picture, Set of miniature patio chairs (one pictured) , and a set of 3 shelves all this weekend. Painted the shelf red and had dh hang it in hallway for some color. I think the bird is quite happy in his new home. Yep as you see the monogram pots have found a new place to perch already. I am busy painting the other shelves and a old 70's trio of bi-fold doors right now...it is labor day today after all! Work, work, work! wish I could convince my dear husband the same....he is asleep in his recliner as I type. I think doing projects today keeps me off of thinking about my sweet boy entering 4th grade tomorrow. It is a bittersweet pill to swallow. Hope Labor Day finds all well and happy! xoxo, cherry

Cherry - what a great way to spend Labor Day! The shelf turned out divine, especially with all the sweeties on top! Thanks for giving me the encouragement I need to incorporate splashes of red into my living room remake... I plan on painting my walls a light buttercream yellow. I can't quite make out the color or your walls, but I love it! Is it a yellow or straw type color? Would you mind sharing what color/make it is so I can look into it? Hey - wait til your kid is a sophmore in HS and walks down the street holding hands with a date!!! S-C-A-R-Y!!!
With love - Esther

Hi Ester...yes I know I will blink my eye and that will be happening. That will really break my ole heart! Sniff sniff! The color is on the gold/yellow side. It is Sherwin Williams restrained gold. Lovely neutral. I really love your idea with the tapestry! cherry

Hi Cherry,
I love your shelf and I especially love your watering can. I try and buy all the watering cans I can find, they are so fun to decorate with. Thanks for commenting on my Peach Pie on my blog.

Love the shelf! I am a big fan of red for punches of color. All the white pieces look great there!

Wait until your baby son has a baby son!!

Cherry- Are you obsessed with red like I am? My stepdaughter says I have a problem! My son started preschool today! Your shelf looks great, you put things together so perfectly. Have a happy week.

You have inspired me to alter clay flower pots. I pick up two small ones at my local thrift store. Now I need to get paint and the rub on letters. Thanks for the neat idea.
