Birthdays...just aren't what they use to be

Today is my birthday..where's the party hat and kazoo? GOOD TIMES! Suppose to go today to finish shopping and go have a nice dinner...BUT my son is yet again not feeling well poor fellow! Moving on to less sensitive topics..thought I would share more of the Christmas touches in these parts. Can I just say in all honestly Christmas REALLLY snuck up on me this year. I did not get nearly everything done I wanted to. To top that off...our beautiful tree that we got....has to come out...it just dried up like the dickens. The man that sold it to us gave us a new one yesterday..which means taking everything off and putting the new tree in..and starting from scratch. Did I mention GOOD TIMES??? rofl. Ohhh well. ON a happier note, I got the sweetest package from a blog buddy...her and I did a swap. She just spoiled me....the silhouettes you see she did...she has a beautiful etsy store that you should go peek at http://www.etsy.com/shop/tripletmom2 and a gorgeous blog here http://tarnishedandtattered.blogspot.com/ ! She also made the sweet vintage Christmas card banner! I love everything Lisa...THANK-YOU BUNCHES! Sooo I will leave all of ya with some fun pics of Christmas decor! The big Standing Santa you see...my dear son bought for me several years back. He spent his own birthday money and my dh took him shopping. He had seen me dazzled over by this St Nick...and he surprised me with it. That is a very special memory for me. Well anyway... I have had fun visiting all you ....gorgeous festooning everywhere I look. I hope everyone is well and in the Christmas spirit...I bought a Bing Crosby cd last night...can't wait to break it out. I had to also share a pic of Calivni on the couch...one of his new fave places to lounge. Merry CHRISTmas to all you! XOXO, cherry

Happy Birthday! Remember you don't have to do it all. Your home is beautiful already. Just put that Bing CD on while you put the new fresh Christmas tree up and have some nice hot chocolate and it will go by quickly and the tree will be all decorated. You have such beautiful crafts you have made - just put some on the tree and wow it will be amazing.

Happy, happy birthday!! Though my birthday is on the 23rd we just celebrated it today with family. I spent the majority of the day baking and what not. Sure didn't have to worry about the Christmas-y things getting done when we were kids! We just got to enjoy our birthdays!! Wishing you a fabulous day surrounded by the ones you love and that your little guy gets better soon!!

Happy Birthday to you my extremely creative friend!!! May your birthday bring you some of the joy and blessings that you bring to us in blogland with everyone of your posts. This one being no exception. It is so beautifully done! Every picture is like artwork. Speaking of artwork, I wish you could see how great the pieces look in my house and my daughters, that I purchased from you. The peace banner looks perfect on her big old wooden mirror. Visiting this blog is always a treat. It feels to me like I got a free magazine subscription to my favorite magazine. Thank you for posting.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Happy belated birthday! And I so love that your son saved up his pennies to buy you thta Santa...and that you continue to treasure it, and the story behind it!

The same thing happened to my friend this year with her tree...except they had to buy another. :-( Thanks to a gigantic snow storm here, though, they spent yesterday re-decorating and sipping hot chocolate. :-)
