My First GCD STUDIOS project post!

Hey there peeps! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Sooo excited to share my first project for GCD Studios with you all today! It has been so fun working with these gorgeous products. I wanted to do something whimsical and even a little close to my heart the first time out. This little project symbolizes my need to create. You see mannequins everywhere lately.....one of my favorite trends right now. What better way to show a love for creating than with one of these sweet feminine images. I wanted to kinda tell a story with this....using the GCD Studios Artsy Urban line created by Melody Ross.....I created a tulle/ doily skirt....I wanted it really full almost like a tutu. I covered the chipboard piece with the adorable red lattice paper from the line and a smidge of the Homespun Chic vintage Audrey paper at the top of the mannequin. I used the transparencies for a "shirt" on top .....added one of their layered flowers for a accent on the skirt, and used the felt borders as a edging around the "shirt". My mannequin HAD to have some pearls....so she has a lovely necklace made from their pearl adhesives. For a touch of whimsy I added another transparency ..this time a birdy to the top. The first pic shows....a "measuring tape" around her.....she is ready to create and sew to her heart's content....and So am I! Have a wonderful Monday all! XOXO, Cherry
