Sweet Birthday Greetings....

Hello everyone!    I am stopping by today to share a project made for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Just a fun  little fun project that can be tucked away ready at a moment's notice for someone's birthday. We always need a quick Birthday greeting from time to time. I decided to make little tags with matching envelopes instead of cards. I diecut my envelopes and tags and went to work adding my embellishments. I made homemade felt blooms for the envelopes. I added tails to the bottom using the pink velvet and Beatrice white lace . I also added the sweet Allison lace to the bottom of each envelope. Each tag has been layered with diecuts and stitched. I added some glittered up buttons and diecut butterflies over more of the pink velvet. I also added some mini felt blooms using my leftover scraps from the larger bloom. I just rolled the scraps up and glued them in place. I topped each tag off with some of the new two tone textured ribbon in pink . I stamped a couple of mini tags and tied them up with cotton candy bakers twine . That is that! Hope you enjoyed! Happy Summer! hugs, cherry

vintage Street Market goodies....

Hello to ya! Can you believe it is June already? This month the VSM team was challenged to use the http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/paper-sheets-tags multi- use paper sheets and tags. Using them in a new and fun way! They are so easy to use and very versatile. I decided to create a gift pack of sorts…..I made a paper bag envelope I stitched up the side and than created two cards that sweetly tuck perfectly inside! The paper bag itself has the http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/paper-sheets-tags/products/dimestore-vogue dimestore vintage multi-use paper on it as well as a fun bingo card from the pantry staple goodies for some added interest http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/craft-pantry-staples. I layered them with a pair of old scissors that I painted and topped it off with some of the diecut buttons from the diecut sheet…I also fussy cut some of the buttons out from the actual multi-use paper. I wanted them to be like real buttons so I used a husband poker and made holes and wound burlap twine through each one and than adhered to the envelope. I added some ribbons in several colors and a vintage spool was the last touch. I than wound some yummy twirly twine http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/craft-pantry-staples/products/brown-twirly-twine around the whole pocket and added a gingham posy and a couple of tags.
The cards keep with the theme by using more pantry staple bingo cards in brown….and I used some scraps from my bin for my papers. They worked so well with the Dimestore vintage collection! I used some scraps from my manilla folders for the tops…and stamped part of my sentiments there. I added some decorative stitching and added layers with diecuts and doilies. The fun part though was using the multi-use paper for my main images…one card I made a heavily layered shabby bloom by diecuttig the papers..and adding snippets of old lace and coffee filters. The other I fussy cut an image of one of the dress forms from the pattern side. I wanted it to be more like a mannequin and so I stamped the base of one and than made the dress form 3-d with foam adhesive. I added buttons and ribbons…and a small tissue flower…and that was that! Wrappin up with Wplus9!

Hi all!  I am so happy to be back sharing the last of my goodies made for Wplus9 !  I missed out on the last two days of sharing but hope to make up for it today!  My first two projects were made using the "Fish More" stamp set and the Fish More dies.  I couldn't help but feel nostalgic when I was stamping with this set.  My Dad is a big fisherman and I went many times with him as a little girl. 

I knew as soon as I got the set that I wanted to pair it up with the a pocketful die .   I had fun stuffing the pockets with  the fishy and tackle.   The other fish card was a challenge to myself.  I wanted to try and create a "girly" fish card.   The sentiments in the set make is easy to switch gears and create for diffrent occasions.   I decided to use the cute birthday sentiment.  I manipulated it a bit to give it "movement" to go along with the wiggle!  I created a fish banner and layered it using the fresh preserves mini label for more detail. 

Last but not least I created one more project using the Fresh Picked and Fresh Preserves stamp sets.  I went with traditional reds....ginghams and polka dots.  I used a real recipe card and just stitched up the sides to create a place to tuck my tags. I used the preserves jar and die and than simply stamped right inside the jar staggering my berries. I also used the label 5 die as well.  Everything pairs so well!   What a great way to give a gift or tuck a strawberry shortcake recipe in with.  I added a vintage measuring spoon and strawberry charm and was done!  I can't wait to try something like this using the blueberries!  Hope you enjoyed the last of my projects! Check out the others fab projects! Happy Tuesday!  cherry

Lazy summer days ...ahead?

 

Lazy Summer days ahead...? Me hopes so! Right now though....so much going on with end of school activities and my son graduating 8th grade. I am a bit emotional about that...and really needed to make a little something cheerful.  

I grabbed some polka dot papers and the fun Fruit Medley stamp set from The Rubber Cafe and had fun stamping several juicy little fruit images. I chose the little strawberry and the watermelon slices. I fussy cut trio of each and added a little coloring. I also just HAD to glitter them up for some sparkle.

I wanted them to have a background to base them from so I used the card labels set. Such a versatile set! I added a little perfectly imperfect stitching for some detail...I than just started adhering everything using my Scrap Happy glue. I added some fun two tone texture ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some mini roses. I added tags with sentiments from the sets and that is that!

Domestic Goddess....

                       Hey there!  I am back today with a fun pocket created with RRR ribbon.  I was in the mood for my favorite color...red.  Just some fun kitschy yumminess.  I love to add unique one of a  kind goodies to my creations.  Something maybe a little unexpected.  It is fun to think outside the box..and it is good for the earth to use recycled goods.  Every little bit helps.   I have made cards in the past with vintage silverware and the idea struck me to use one on a pocket...almost like a handle.  I also used a fun vintage measuring spoon as the main image on a tag.  This would be perfect for the cook in your life.  
                          Pockets are fun too because you get to use diffrent types of ribbons with out being limited like you might be with a card.  I decided to use some of the woven red burlap ribbon for my tags along with some red and white twine.   Great way to add texture and interest.  I also used red seam binding on some of the smaller tags.  The front of the pocket I added a bit of Estelle lace to the bottom of the pocket.  I also added a touch of blue texture ribbon to the bottom of the title for a pop of blue.  This ribbon is new in the store and I love it.  Hope you have enjoyed my kitschy ensemble!  Have a happy day!  hugs, cherry

More Wplus9 releases..

                 Hello there...back again with more creations using the ever so sweet new Fresh Preserves and matching die set from Wplus9 stamps!  I love love love the adorable preserves jar!  So fun to diecut and dress up.  I mixed both sets together for these two projects..using the Fresh picked stamp set and diecuts as well.  I used the label 5 layers die for the background to my preserves jar...and I also used the die in the second project by using the die as mini tags.  I just simply dressed the tags up with raspberries and strawberries...and HAD to use a little glitter as well.  I love that the fresh picked set has strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.  I also used the mini label for the preserves jar and diecut it and stamped it and than turned it upside down and tucked them under the bingo cards as  "tails"..for added detail.  Lots of fun and lots of options...hope you enjoyed my take on the new sets!  Make sure to check out the other girly's goodies again!  I know I can't wait to see them!
