Purple Pizazzzzzzzz challenge
There is a super fun challenge going on over at RRR ! It is called purple pizazz...I just loved this challenge...decided to pair my purple pizazz with some black and white for a fun graphic look. I love this combination for Halloween. A little diffrent from the traditional black and orange. I used the purple ribbons from the August Ribbon club assortment. Love those polka dots and the glittery purple. Had fun creatinglittle gift ensemble...a treat bag and matching card.....ready for the recipient. Stuff some yummy candy in there and you are good to go. Candy corn anyone?? I also used some new products that I just couldn't lay down from Pretty Little Studio. Can't wait to get going on the design team! Hope you enjoy my little goodies! Make sure to check out the other girl's creations over on the RRR blog. hugs, cherry

blog hoppin with RRR
I am off camping .........wish me luck! At least there are showers.....thank the heavens. This post was scheduled ahead for today is the monthly blog hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon and you should have made your way here from Ms. Glorias. We are showcasing the August monthly ribbon club. This month they are lovely shades of purple and greys. An unusual combination and I have to say a new favorite of mine. I was really drawn to the greys in this set.....they remind me of a man's flannel grey suit. Soft and warm. I paired the grey with creams and a bit of black for contrast. I took a chipboard rectangle and covered it in linen fabric and than cut strips of two of the ribbons and went to work weaving them a bit across the the rectangle. I tied a bow to the side using two of the ribbons as well. I added some buttons in the middle and a sentiment and I was done. The other I just looped my ribbons over and over and added a felt bloom to the middle. I love the fallish look to both......even though I really am not ready for Summer to be over. Hope you have enjoyed my take on the club ribbons. Make sure to hop on over to Emily's blog for more inspiration. If you get lost a long the way to make your way back to the Really Reasonable ribbon blog...link above! Hopefully I haven't gotten attacked by to many skeeters and will be back shortly to visit you all! hugs, cherry

Been here and gone again........
Well if you are reading this tomorrow I am gone...if you are reading this now...well I am almost gone. Last big hoorayyyyyyyyyyy for Summer. Camping at Wallowa Lake. Can't wait. S'mores, bratwurst, bake potatoes from the coals.....yum. Had a wonderful time on our last trip...... 3 national parks in a week. GOOD TIMES! lol. I wanted to pop in with a little something before I leave again. A little black and cream ensemble. I never tire of burlap, especially printed burlap....I added some vintage trimmings of all kinds and a pretty cameo. I left the burlap frayed...kinda like it that way. I added some old sewing notions....worn scissors and needles from a sewing machine. A few other goodies. I really enjoyed making this and the way it turned out. Well that is it for me! I am off to pack. Wish me luck! At least we have showers. I had to share a pic of my cat.............random?? Maybe...but he is in the black and cream spectrum too! hugs, cherry

I used fine glitter on both cards..the first is a gift enclosure style card…..the envelope is perfect for tucking a note inside or a gift card for someone’s birthday. The other is just a simple card perfect for a friend or a child’s birthday. I had so much fun creating these…hope you enjoy! Be sure to check out the store! hugs, cherry

What's the buzzzzzzzzz
happppppppppppppppy day to you! I have a short and sweet little project..pun intended.. using a few fun RRR and the fun Queen bee stamp set from Crafty secrets. I wanted a earthy nuetral look to this. I used some kraft harlequin papers that are actually from a new Halloween set and a diecut that I stamped. I paired the papers with my fave jute burlap ribbon in ivory ..I used it as a background on both the pocket and the tag . I also used black seambinding for a touch of sophistication. I wound black licorice twine through each tag and to top it off I used it as well as some jute twine around both sets with a little matching stamped tag. It makes a sweet little stationary set for a friend. Hope you enjoy! hugs, cherry
