Jolly Old St. Nick.. guesting for Gypsy Laser Cuts!!!

December is here!!!! Time to get our creating on! I am guesting this month over at the Gypsy Soul laser cuts blog. I have been so excited to share my creations. I had an absolute ball creating with all the beautiful chipboard pieces. Their designs are so whimsical..they bring out the kid in me! I really got my hands dirty....painting, covering images with ink, faux snowing everything, embossing....you name it. Here is my first projects made for them. It is all about ole St. Nick. He will be here soon you know! I used the Alarm clock chipboard. I painted it a classic Christmas red....sanded it a bit to give it a worn appearance. From there I used it to frame in my retro Santa and Rudolph image.

I also used the Snowflake shape set. I painted them white to pop against the red and adhered them around my clock mingling them with jingle bells and a few berry sprigs.

I added a sentiment along with some gorgeous ribbons and a berry. I also covered a couple of greenery sprigs from the Winter Shape Set with papers and added them for fun.

Here it is all done! I just adore this piece, it just makes me soooo happy! Thanks for visiting! Cherry

Visions of Sugarplums day 3!!!!!

Day three guys!!! It has gone so fast. Last day of the "Visions of Sugarplums" over at Lori's place.
So many wonderful projects from everybody. What fun it has been!!!

Here is my final project for the theme. Sure hope you all are joining in with us. You just might win an awesome prize. I had to come up with some cutesy Christmas creations to honor our festivities!

Isn't Miss. Kitty cute? LOVE the primary colors. I shared a kitty...now I share a puppy!

J O Y

   (PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS BLOG HOP)

                HI and happy Monday. It is my day at RRR and I am sharing this project. They are three simple blocks that I had done years ago with scrapbook paper and embellishments etc and added the "JOY" letters too. I was tired of them and wanted a simple country farmhouse look to them. Which is what my home decor is.

I was able to take the vinyl O off that I had made with my cricket years ago. I replaced it with some simple greens and berries!

I wrapped each block with my very, very, very favorite ribbon that I use to decorate with. It is the
red plaid in 5/8. I love to use it to add pops of red here and there in my house.

Here they are together. I love how they turned out. I have them sitting on a simple antique green transferware platter and love the simple homey touch it adds to my kitchen.

Home would be a cute idea as well......so many ideas and so little time!!!

Here is also a picture I took of how I use this ribbon in simple ways around the house. Now Tie yourself a bow and deck those halls!!! Hugs, cherry

Visions of Sugar plums Day 2!!!

Happy Monday folks...day two of our party!!! Did you enjoy yesterday? Hope you are playing along. Here is my take for day two!

Some vintage Christmas cards sure to bring you back to the good old days.....

First one has a vintage Norman Rockwell ornament as the main image. I framed it out with ribbons, and a gorgeous swag I adhered with berried one by one. I nestled little vintage buttons among the swag as well.

Ribbons were added as well from RRR.

Here it is nestled in a Christmas star......love how it turned out.

Next card also uses a vintage ornament with an etched image of Santa and his sleigh. I created it with an old world vibe.....using greens and dark reds and magentas. Santa is headed off on Christmas Eve.

I added a bit of detail to the inside as well.

Visions of Sugarplums day 1!!!!!

Hello folks and happy Sunday. I am so excited! It is that time of year again ....time for Lori's "Visions of Sugarplums". Three days of merriment and inspiration. There are lots of fun prizes being given this year. So we hope you will play along with our challenge. It is a Christmas/winter theme. You can link up on Lori's sweet blog. Eeeeek I can not wait to see what she comes up with!!!

Here is my take for day one of the festivities. I wanted to rejoice in the season. What better way than to celebrate the reason for it. I have had this precious Angel charm and decided it was time to give her a home. I put her in a rust bath to give it aging and nestled the charm in a mini tart pan.

I added some mini berries that I adhered one by one and than added the sweetest antique button. I have never seen another like it. Looks to be from the 1930's. I did not want to part with it but it found its forever home. I thought this chipboard "Silent Night" (one of my favorite Christmas songs) was the perfect simple sentiment for this card.

I love this color combinations of simple greens, creams, and silvers. Just heaven!

I used some lovely berries and ribbons from my favorite store RRR!!!

Warmest Winter Wishes

Hey folks! New challenge.....and ONLY challenge in December over at RRR! So you better join us!!!! It is a Winter theme with ribbon. Here is my project, a fun card with a colorful twist.

I used bright colors that I thought would be cheerful for after Christmas. It is always a tad sad to put everything away and it is easy to get the blues. This card is perfect to cheer someone up....or could be used as a Winter birthday card.

I love the primary colors with the blues. So fun and different. Makes me happy!

I used the blue topaz Taffeta ribbon in 5/8th, which is also in this month's ribbon club. I made a couple of loopy bows that I layered on top of the Taffeta using Blueberry Twine.

To top of my ribbon I used red Asters, red Cherry Blossoms, red and white berry clusters, and to add a bit more blue I added the oh so cute round flat back glass cabochons. I love those plaids. Once I was done layering I added a light dusting of faux snow.

December Guest for Cheery Lynn Designs!!!

Good morning paper peeps and happy 1st of December! I am so excited to be guesting this month at the Cheery Lynn blog. Christmas is my favorite holiday to create for so I was pretty ecstatic to join in with the Cheery Lynn girls this month. I had so much fun getting to use some of these beautiful dies. I have a Christmas card for you today. I started off by cutting several layers from the Joy to the World wreath 3 piece die set.

I absolutely love, love, love this wreath. I will be using it a lot! I framed it around my little Santa image and than layered it just a wee bit by adding snippets from the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 piece die set along with a few little faux berries for color. I adore the little details of the leaves.

I wanted more detail towards the bottom of my card so I added the Gauze Border Die. I ran it through my machine and than snipped the edges to create a ribbon effect.

I was chomping at the bit to use one of the new dies from Cheery Lynn so I added the Christmas Tree Shaker die.

I adorned the tree with a little flourish from the Pumpkin Patch die and the Joy sentiment from the wreath set. Other than that a bit of pretty seam binding and a jingle bell and my card was complete.
