Time flies....

Time flies...especially Summer. Just got back from vacation and now leaving again for camping. Can't believe school is just around the corner and summer is winding down. I am poppin in quickly to share a little card made using the Steam punk set and the vintage treasures set . Had fun using the vintage word across the top on my paper to add some interest...I stamped the clock and wings and fussy cut them out and used foam adhesive to add demension. I also used part of the sentiment from the Hey cupcake set to mix with the other sentiment. I added some stitching and a few little details and that was that! Hope you enjoy! hugs, cherry

Hi there! How is your summer going? I am popping in today to share a few new creations made with some delightful new goodies from http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/ . They have added a lot of new items to the store. Had fun playing and was obviously in a pink mood. I made two cards that are soft and nostalgic. I used fine glitter on both cards..the first is a gift enclosure style card…..the envelope is perfect for tucking a note inside or a gift card for someone’s birthday. The other is just a simple card perfect for a friend or a child’s birthday. I had so much fun creating these…hope you enjoy! Be sure to check out the store! hugs, cherry

What's the buzzzzzzzzz

happppppppppppppppy day to you!  I have a short and sweet little project..pun intended.. using a few fun RRR  and the  fun Queen  bee stamp set from Crafty secrets.  I wanted a earthy nuetral look to this.  I used some kraft harlequin papers that are actually from a new Halloween set and a diecut that I stamped.  I paired the papers with my fave jute burlap ribbon in ivory ..I used it as a background on both the pocket and the tag .   I also used black seambinding for a touch of sophistication.  I wound black licorice twine through each tag and to top it off I used it as well as some jute twine around both sets with a little matching stamped tag.  It makes a sweet little stationary set for a friend.  Hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry

bingoooooooooooo!

Hi to you! I have a little altered friendship mini to share today using the Bingo card stamp  from The Rubber Cafe as my base. OHHH did I have fun stamping this using diffrent pattern papers. I wanted an old vintagey look ....almost like antique wallpaper combinations. I backed each bingo card with chipboard and sanded the edges for a worn and seamless look. Than I went to work creating some embellies using the Rose garden stamp set. Keeping with the vintagey look I stamped onto some gingham fabric and antique pattern papers. Love the demension the old pattern paper gives to each rose. I did the same for the middle bingo card using a butterfly stamp from the vintage treasures set . I added the sweet On the fence die to the bottom of each card. I added some bits and bobs...buttons, ribbons, and of course a few pearl jellie dots . I decided to also add some sentiments to this...I wanted it to be a friendship mini....something you could give to a friend for a bit of cheer so I added some of the sentiments from the friends set .  I had to have some shimmer as well so I added Diamond clear glitter for some sparkle.  Other than that......... That is that....hope you enjoy! The bingo card stamp is so versatile ....I plan to make a banner next! Happy Summer! hugs, Cherry

Summer pastels

Always a pleasure to come by to share goodies made for The Rubber Cafe and share my latest love....this time the Fashionable Frames set . Summer is quickly settling in to a lovely and slow pace...at least for this week. I was craving soft pastel colors...and had fun rummaging through my papers to find just the perfect ones. This set is so versatile I used the little mini bloom at the bottom of one card as a border and used it on a mini tag as well on the other. I stamped the frame and fussy cut it out and layered onto many diecut pieces to create a focal point. I stamped the main flower inside the frame and also used it as a grouping on the other card. I also used the backgrounds one and two on one of the cards. So many ways to use this little stamp set! My sentiments are from the new Friends set and worked perfectly with the theme. I used foam adhesive to add demension and also used my absolute favorite glue ever my Scrap Happy glue. I added buttons and stitching here and there on each card and also some yummy little cotton candy jellie dots and pearl jellie dots for added detail. Perfect for the center of the little flowers. Hope you have enjoyed my little cottage cards! Happy Summer! hugs, cherry

RRR goodies...

Hello my friends! I am popping in today to share some goodies using Really Reasonable Ribbons. My first project is a card with an envelope to tuck in a gift card for someone's birthday. Around these parts we love Barne's and Noble's so that is what is tucked in my gift enclosure. I used some shabby papers and digi images for my card. I embellished it using ivory burlap ribbon which I pulled a part and wound through my little tag banner and in my buttons. I also used seambinding in white and dyed it imperfectly with some Tim Holtz ink for a worn look. The bottom of the card has Penelope lace to finish it off.
My other project used my fave Middy Biddy bags . I love to fussy these little cuties up and make tags to tuck inside. I used some papers, doily, stamps, and a few more toppings to gussy it up. I made flowers using the natural burlap with white and pink stripes . I used the same technique that I shared before, simply winding the ribbon around and around. I layered them with some chiffon flowers, pearls, and fabric. The background of the bag uses the jute ivory ribbon ...which is my new favorite. I topped the bag and tags off with seambinding in baby pink and bakers twine in cotton candy.
I also used a border of pink velvet at the bottom. Just a simple project ...but fun! Hope you have enjoyed! Happy Summer, cherry
