Altered wire basket..

I found a wire basket yesterday at ST. Vincents for 3.00...and had a little light bulb go off in my head... (no snickers please). I thought it would be cute to gussy up and stick all my ephemera in. I crackled some chipboard letters and spelled out VINTAGE and made a little plaque to put on the basket. I than wove some ribbons through the wire and added a label and an old pearl bead. I thought it came out pretty cute..and practical. I have been sorting and moving things around in my craft studio. The flow of the furniture was off....so I got my dh too move everything..yet AGAIN. It feels and looks much better. I also traded a piece of furniture with my son. He got a bookshelf that had been in here and I now have one of my old Ethan Allen childhood pieces in the craft room. I still have my whole bedroom set from when I was a little girl. I can't bare to part with it....(the rest is in the garage)...I mean HECK...it will be the only Ethan Allen furniture I will ever own. I thought I would show snippets of the inside of it ...I painted it Dover white...ran out of paint so it is not complete...like most things around here. The outside is red...and I will go over it with a better red. I played around with the interor tonight for fun. I love displaying things...I feel like a kid in a candy store! Lastly I thought I would share another custom banner I did for a customer...this time I added a birdy to the middle. Hope she likes it! I wanted to mention that my etsy shop is now 10% off for Mother's Day and I will be adding a few things tomorrow that will also be on sale. Well that is it for me today!~ XOXO, Cherry

Your pictures are fantastic. How do you get them so large. I picked large on the choices, but they still are rather small.
Everything is so pretty. I went to GW yesterday and found nothing!

I have to say Mrs. C you are the best collage artist I've found! I adore your use of my favorite blacks with reds, etc.!!! At least your collage work makes some sense and it looks deliberate in thought!! BUT you also know when to quit adding which is why it looks so well done!!! Love it all!!!! Keep em comin!!!lol

I love how you altered the "C". With my last name starting with that letter, I'm always drawn them. I have to show my mother-n-law your little chair. She collects them. I'm sure she'd love to see how you used yours. Have a great evening!
