Are you tired of black???

If you are... I urge you to run the other way. This is just another "black project"...or two. First off is a lovely little pickled frame that I painted (I think you know what color). Lovingly distressed her, added ribbon, and than decided to add one of my scrapbook metal label thingies. They were hot pink (aghast) and so I painted it too. Put a little rub-on in there that says cherish. I made it so I can change out the words. Not that I ever probley will......but I like options. Than since I was still in a black mood...better than a blue mood..um right? I had this extra mirror from when we moved here a few years ago (it didn't fit are guest bath). I thought HEY that would make a great chalkboard. It has this cute little ledge shelf...which I dig. So I went to work using my chalkboard paint and here she is in her finery. I than looked at the eraser and thought...I didn't care for the Rose Art insignia (it didn't seem like a miracle eraser to me)...so the mod podge came out AGAIN and I put some fun graphic paper with birds on it, now it is befitting its miracle eraser status. I found the little tiny pitcher today at St. Vinnies for .50 . Perfect for chalk. Happy Thursday! xoxo, cherry

I think if blogging women were suddenly taken off the earth there would be no need to make black paint. We all love it cuz it transforms everything it touches.
Your projects turned out fabulous.
Did you know that I have that same "It's a Wonderful Life" sign in my kitchen?

I paint everything black...nothing is safe here. This weekend all of the bedroom doors are getting painted black and the hall closet door. I once asked my friend if I had too much black and she said some people have all white, some cherry, some pine. I love what you've done...cute stuff!

I'm aghast! What? Tired of black? I THINK NOT! There is nothing that creates a dramatic effect like black. Sharp and sophisticated. And I really like what you did with the mirror.

I think every room needs a touch of black for grounding. I love black...probably too much. :) For a while I was making blackboards and framing them in the old ornate frames. They looked so pretty but shipping was a hassell so I stopped making them. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~ Lynn

Hi Cherry - thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments about my simple recipes - I am just a plain jane kinds of cook, but simple is good too! I do like black and your projects are quite inspiring! I'd better go do a black spray paint inventory - I feel some painting coming on!

I love everything you did, especially the chalkboard that you made~ very cute! You are definitely talented and have such great ideas!

I was at Lowe's a couple of days ago, and noticed the chalkboard paint. I have since been racking my mind for what I can use it on! I'll come up with something...wouldn't it be neat to have one in your kitchen, though? You can write what you're cooking for dinner, so when the kids ask (ten thousand times!) what you're having, you can just point to your little chalkboard! :)

Hey Cherry,
Thanks for your comment!! I always get so excited when someone stops by to chat!! My name is Cheryl, but growing up my parents called me Cherry-Berry because I had redish blonde hair. So, I just dropped the L on the end of my name & go by Chery:)

Look at how cute that looks. I'm with you. Everything looks better in black. This weekend I painted my MIL furniture, and when she first told me what she wanted me to do, I thought "BLACK". But she isn't as into it as I am. But really and truly, it does make everything look more elegant.
